Salumeria Ercolano — Restaurant in Jersey City

This place can't make a simple sandwich. I came in on my coffee break and ordered sausage, eggs and munster cheese. I could tell that the guy taking my order wasn't understanding it, so I repeated my order 10 times! The $14 sandwich ended up being sausage and mozzarella cheese, which I only discovered when I got back to work. I lost my break and didn't eat all because a sandwich shop can't make a simple sandwich!

Moral of the story is, if you are good with eating whatever you are handed instead of what you want, then go for it. Otherwise, not worth wasting your time and money there.

PS: I've looked through other reviews, and the owner comments are all the same - next time ask for Natale. Apparently, that's the place when you need to know 'da guy to get da tin' you ordered or decent service for that matter. Your money is not...

The place is beautiful and the roof made out of natural log wood is outstanding. Also very spacious with about 26 four seated tables not including the outside next to the road ones. It is very clean with great variety of Italian foods from sandwiches to dining plates but is not as 😋 tasty as I would like to but is OK. Very safe place and lots of Italian customers and working customers and people from all over including Jersey City locals and JCPD. Great service and the price is average $11 for a food plate and soft drink plus tip is about $12. Great air conditioning and polished concrete floor.
