Go to literally any other dmv. I spent less time in the waiting area, than with this one woman flipping over TWO PAGES of documents for my car, for 25 minutes. That is not a joke, a stretch, or hyperbole. The woman spent 25 minutes acting like she had a veritable operations manual in her hands. It was TWO PAGES, being flipped over endlessly. The technology in this government facility is all from 20+ years ago, and the employees still struggle with it. Would love to see any of these people be employed anywhere else. Itâs embarrassing to watch these people try and justify having the job they do. Nothing is streamlined, the attitude is bureaucratic, no one is doing a good job because these people were hired by design. All around, the entire experience is miserable. Blessed to not have to suffer that environment more than needed. Would leave no stars, and I didnât even talk about how the manager there lied about how weâd get to skip the line when we were made to come back (for the fourth time), then it wasnât honored when we asked about the offer to expedite our appointment.    Read moreI have to say it was a frustrating time. I got there at 7am, they don't open till 8am. There are people on the line selling there spot on The line and selling there tickets, also people just skipping the line. It's really not fair after waiting 2 hours, people just come out of no where and get on line and they give them a ticket like they were there the whole time. The line was already a full block away, and starting to go around the corner when I got there. When they opened the doors they began giving out numbered tickets, after you have your ticket you still need to wait on line. Once I had my ticket it took a hour to get to the front door. Once I was inside, I was done in no time. Less then 30 min. But all I did was get registration renewal. If your getting a new registration it may take an additional 45 min. In that case once you go in they take your cell number and then text you when to come back to pick up your plates. Takes about 45 min. I was there a total 3 hours. Went into office to apply for temporary registration after a private sale and was told âWe donât do that, the state doesnât offer thatâ, which in actuality it does because the form is available for download and print directly from the website as I displayed to them. I arrived 3 hrs prior to closing with very few clients, was then cornered and harassed by the security older gentleman and the general manager coming from her location in the back office to tell me âWe wonât have time to process that in one day come back tomorrow at 8 and Iâll do itâ, as they failed to realize I was on the phone with NJ state government services support line. I will be following through with a formal complaint with the proper state department and city mayors office. I hope this office is due for a turnover in staff and management. CLEAN HOUSE!
