Khokha — Restaurant in Jersey City

This place makes the BEST smash burger in Jersey city, hands down! I work in the square and have to convince myself not to eat one every time im there. Look at that malliard reaction! (the yummy seared crispness on the patty, not on one side like shake shack but all over!) They also have a jalapeno smash that is so delightfully spicy. The khokha sauce comes in 5 different heat levels. I've also had their chicken sandwich which was very good just a little messy, in the future I would order the sauce and coleslaw on the side for to-go. I haven't eaten inside yet but it is a very cute little spot with a few tables and everyone who works here is very friendly. I'll definitely be back to try...

Very disappointing first experience. I ordered the Jalapeño Smash Burger, but when I opened it at home, there was nothing inside except two patties — no toppings, no sauce (in the pic what you see inside were jalapenos and onions I put myself inside the burger since there was nothing!). The patties themselves were burnt and dry. Before writing the review I sent photos and an email to the restaurant, but never received a reply, after more than 2 weeks.

The crispy chicken burgers here are incredibly juicy with a flavorful spice unlike many fried chicken sandwiches I've had before. As the name conveys, the breading was very crispy and the medium spice level was a respectable level of heat that was enough for someone that generally enjoys spicy dishes.

I also really liked the garlic sauce with paratha. I will definitely be back for the crispy chicken and to try some of the interesting...
