Kennedy Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Jersey City

I've been to plenty of Kennedy Fried Chicken locations in my lifetime, and I never had a bad experience. This is the exception. I ordered some chicken, some fish, and some fries. All fried foods, can't mess that up, right?

WRONG,

The chicken was way over seasoned, it was salty as hell.

The fish was fishy as hell, and overseasoned as well. I mean it was so fishy, I couldn't even eat it. The part that scares me that you always hear if it tastes fishy, it's going bad or already is. Luckily, I didn't get sick from the few bites I had.

Oh, the fries were the 'stick cut' which is normal for a Kennedy, and they were fishy...I dunno if that's because they were fried in the same oil, or just from being in the same container.

So, the food sucked, but the one nice thing I can say is the guy behind the counter was very pleasant. But not nice enough for me to ever subject myself to...

I've seen some of the abuse the big man with glasses has to put up with; rowdy and disrespectful customers and if I was him I don't think I could keep my cool as much as he does!!! He's pretty patient compared to the crap he puts up with at the late night hours! I give him a lot of credit for being so professional. And still think it's the BEST place...

Chicken was great, it don't make up how I was treated by a unprofessional and rude guy employee. I order my food and my coins dropped out my hand ✋. I said you didn't put my change in my hand. He got upset and aggressive saying it was my fault. I could have made a be deal. I sat down ate my food then ask for a bag to go he made me pay for a bag. That's when I realize he was discriminating against me and had something to prove because of his ego.
