Downtown Car and Limousine Service — Local services in Jersey City

I was so busy planning my wedding, the last thing I was thinking of was checking reviews on this car service and I AM SO SORRY I DIDN'T!!!! We just needed a car ride for a 40 minute ride for me and my new husband. I called the week before and was told by a guy named Chris that the price was $88. Less than 5 minutes into the ride on my wedding day, in my dress and all, I was told the price was a lot higher and I refused to pay. The driver put the dispatcher on the phone with me. I told him someone named Chris gave me a price only 1 week ago. He proceeded to tell me Chris was not there any longer and that the price was higher. He was nasty to me and wouldn't even listen to me. He told the driver to leave us on the side of the road....Route 80.....in my wedding dress, with my gifts and all!!!!! This was not the way I wanted to end my wedding day!!!!!! How dare they change the price once in the car, but to tell the drive to leave us on the highway!!!!!!! WTF!!!!! We had him take the next exit to a gas station we knew to have one of my relatives turn around and come pick us up. During this time a woman from the company called me, was very nice, apologized and asked us to get back in the car and said the ride would be free. At this point, you couldn't have paid me to get back in that car. Our ride showed up and we were on our way home safely. THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS...

WORST airport pick up experience ever!!! I called the night before my flight to confirm, called the morning before the flight to confirm and called when I landed. I was told my SUV was there waiting to take me, my wife and my two small children home. I was told to get my luggage and call back. I did as told and was constantly told to hold on and then the phone disconnected..... 5 TIMES IN A ROW! After waiting 45 minutes (I was waiting on taxi line while still holding out hope for a ride home) they finally sent an old beat up Lincoln town car....... after lying to us and making us walk around the terminal telling me the car is there (which he wasn't) After we get in the car has NO GAS!!!! He gets off on an exit and we wait in a gas line for 20 minutes!!!! Finally got home after 2 1/2 hrs after my arrival.... NIghtmare experience..... Then on way home i'm harrassed by dispatcher...

I have used this service in the past with minimal issues, but the last 2 trips have been very bad. The trip to the Newark airport from Hoboken in October 2016, the driver drove 30 minutes out of the way, up 495 to Turnpike, before heading to the airport. We nearly missed our flight because of this driver. The next trip, from the airport back to Hoboken in January 2017, we waited over an hour for a car which never arrived. The dispatcher kept saying "10 minutes" and then claimed the driver was stuck in traffic. There is NO traffic at 1AM on Sunday night! We finally took a yellow cab home and made it to our front door in 15 minutes. Traffic, my a**! It would be good if Downtown hired dispatchers who are honest with clients and set expectations appropriately, and hired drivers who know the best/fastest routes to get to...
