I have yet to meet the owner/all the staff but I am obsessed with this business. My friend Aretha recommended I try it because I was looking for healthy, easy alternatives to making all of my own meals as someone who works crazy hours and has a long commute. I have never been disappointed. The meals are all fresh and filled with healthy ingredients, fiber, there are multiple protein options, and the sweets are exceptional without having macros that ruin your progress. They also use sustainable packaging whenever possible and seem to have a really keen awareness of environmental impact. The food all comes in cardboard or compostable containers (and I get delivery so I can verify that these hold up well!).
I absolutely love the chickpea caesar salad, the soups are to die for (don’t sleep on the broccoli lentil “cheddar” or the butternut squash!), and the avocado chocolate mousse, banana bread, and/or brownies are on a consistent rotation in my delivery orders. The yogurt parfaits, overnight oats, and chia puddings also make breakfast easy when I’m on the go.
The website is easy to use, the delivery drivers always arrive within the scheduled time, and have been consistently polite and friendly. I also love that they have an option to add a tip for the driver to my order.
If you’re looking to try a new option to mix up your meals and keep you full with delicious healthy food, this is definitely an amazing option.
A huge thank you to Busy Bee team for their delicious food and...
Read moreThis was my second time going into Busy Bee Organics. My son loves the chocolate cookie dough balls so I decided I would try a smoothie and bagels. I got the mango crunch smoothie with coconut milk which definitely lives by its name it’s super crunchy, it was a little hard to actually drink and wasn’t the best smoothie I’ve had before especially for a $10 smoothie. I also got two everything bagels, lightly toasted one with butter and one with Creamcheese. My entire order was close to $30. I decided to sit out on their outside patio with my son to eat our bagels. I was honestly disappointed the butter wasn’t melted, the bread didn’t even feel as if it was toasted, granted I asked for it to be lightly toasted so I took a bite. The bread was hard as if it was just defrosted. The young lady that assisted me happened to be fixing something right outside so I asked her if the bagel was toasted and she said “yes” with a smile and I told her “oh, because it’s very hard” to which she replied “Oh, really?” Then walked inside and never came back out. I’m pretty sure the owner or manager was there as well but didn’t say anything either. I’m sad because we live so close to the bakery and I was excited to have found a place I could walk to with my son but I’ll be checking out other bakeries in the area especially after spending a good amount of $ on bagels...
Read moreVery thrilled to have Busy Bee in the neighborhood and to have people starting businesses grounded in selling REAL, quality food. I have experienced a lot of quality inconsistencies when I come here through, especially with the drinks and baristas’ (un)willingness to make “off menu” or even just prior seasonal items that they do have the ingredients on hand for. Every time Rachel makes a drink, it’s 15/10, but I’ve had poor luck with basically every other employee. I also feel like the food (and drinks), while great and high quality, are very very overpriced ($6+ for a single cupcake? $8 for a small latte?), especially for the area (this is not NYC or Hoboken). I understand organic and GF ingredients cost more, but not THIS much more. Seems like this offering just always becomes financially inaccessible or unsustainable because of the huge markup applied. Have also had kind of poor service when I come here as well - everyone is generally quite nice, but there is ZERO urgency to get orders out and people on their way, even when you call ahead. Space itself is very cute and bespoke. Lastly, the business hours are so so frustrating! Can’t tell you how many times I have wanted to grab dinner there or get anything stuff on a Monday. Overall will remain a customer, though would be WAY more frequent without the...
