unfortunately I didn't list to the warning signs and bad review about this place and decided to schedule an appointment for my husband there anyway...... please don't go there, they are so unprofessional and unorganized to the point that I honestly believe they should be shut down..my husband had his appointment yesterday to extract his wisdom tooth and we were there from ALMOST 4 HOURS. They tried to call my husband's prescription into the rite aid pharmacy but the pharmacy didn't accept it because they said he wasn't a patient there before. So They said they would give me the prescription to take to the pharmacy when my husband is done. Once my husband was done and we where ready to go they told me that the dentist didn't write the prescription yet and that she was doing an operation with another patient so we would have to wait for her to get done so she can write the prescription. After almost 4 hours in the waiting room with my 2 kids who are under 3 years old, I wasn't about to wait any longer to get the prescription because as you can imagine the kids were really getting whinny and fussy. So I told the receptionist to give me a day supply of the antibiotics and that I should come tomorrow to pick up the prescriptions. I went the next day to pick up the prescriptions and guess what? It's STILL NOT READY and the dentist isn't in the office yet to write it.
I Asked the receptionist why it wasn't ready yet and she said " we didn't tell you what time to come". So I told her that it didn't matter what time I came and that the prescription were supposed to be ready yesterday . Then she said " we have other patients too".... seriously?!! Isn't it part of your job to make sure your patients get there meds?!! And if they can't keep up writing prescriptions for their patients then maybe they should try scheduling less patients so that they can focus more on taking good care of them rather than collecting their money. After the argument with the receptionist I told her that I'm going to rite aid to give the pharmacy my information so that the dentist office can try calling them in again. A few hours later I called the dentist office and they said " it was called in yesterday, we always call in our patients meds before they leave".......uhhhhhhhhhhhhh I don't even know what to say at this point.. the pharmacy doesn't have the prescriptions and the dentist office won't call it in again ..... I AM BEYOND FURIOUS!!!! If it was possible to take away stars from there ratings I would. They TREAT YOU LIKE ANIMALS!! ONLY CARE...
Read moreWhere do I start? #1 THE WAIT TIME IS RIDICULOUS. Their scheduling is HORRIBLE. They give out appts for the same time or several mins apart. My appt was for 3:15p.m & I kid you not I was not seen until 2 1/2 hours later. Anyways MY EXPERIENCE started when I was sent there upon a referral by my primary dentist for ONE wisdom tooth extraction. When you first go there ( a few weeks before) for your pre-exam they DON'T tell you, you'll be getting general ansthesia. I found that out maybe an 1hr before the procedure. Also About 2 mins before the IV was stuck in my arm the surgeon told me all 4 of my wisdom teeth had to come out. EXCUSE ME?! I told her only one was bothering me (which I knew was impacted ) & that the others were fine. She proceeded to tell me I might as well have them all taken out ( two now & the other two, six weeks later) because they MAY later cause crowding & insurance isn't going to keep covering these procedures. I knew the insurance part was a lie & I guess she never heard the saying, "If it's not broke, don't fix it." So I knew whether I gave her the go ahead or not , she was going to take out two teeth(which she did). Next, their BED SIDE MANNERS need improvement. They disregard the fact they just drugged you up about 20-30 mins ago and lack patience for the patient to awaken themsleves. They literally try to rush you up and out. During the time I was trying to wake up & become aware of everything , I actually heard one of the nurses say, "Wake up, I want to go home to my family too." Umm hello if I can wake up don't you think I'll be up already!! -Last but not least THEY NEVER OPEN ON TIME. Office hours are 9am-5:30pm. Sometimes a little after 9 someone(maybe maintenance ) picks up & says the office isn't open yet, maybe call back around 9:45-10am. If I'm not mistaken practices makes their own office hours, so if you or your staff can't make it there on time, CHANGE the hours! OVERALL , I WILL NEVER go back once I'm done w/followups & suggest you find another...
Read moreI started the process of having my wisdom teeth removed about a year to a year and a half ago. The first time my appointment was booked and I was ready to go in for the procedure, I was advised to not go and to find another surgeon instead by a previous patient who had had a bad experience. So I cancelled my appointment and tried to find another doctor. Eventually I settled for Dr. Laifook because all other surgeons were in their offices only once or twice a month. Whenever I tried to make an appointment, either their system was down or the scheduler was not in. With the exception of one or two people, the staff is not polite. They argue and even yell at patients. The same goes for the doctor who apparently has a prejudice against the people of jersey city. I was finally called in at 1:50 for my 1:00 appointment. The surgical nurse left me waiting in the hallway until she direct me into a room and sat me down. She asked me some questions and the surgeon came in. My first impression of her was very positive. She seemed kind and professional. Nothing like her staff. She put me to sleep and the next thin. I know, I'm awake and there is blood dripping out of my mouth, and onto my shirt. There was no gauze on my extraction sites! My parents were with me and I asked for them to bring in my sisters, so they did. Some time later, the doctor showed up to see how I was. My father was recording me because I was still high off the medication. After seeing that, and my sisters in the room, she then proceeded to yell loudly at my father. She thought the act of him recording and the presence of my younger sisters in the room was "highly inappropriate" and was insinuating that my father was a bad father. She left my room and my father followed. There was a loud exchange of words which ended in her screaming with her hands up in the air, "I'VE HAD IT WITH PEOPLE FROM JERSEY CITY!" I should have never come to this office and I advise whoever is reading this review to go...
