My sister sent me to pick up flowers sheâd purchased the day before for our mom. When we got there at 12:30, there was a sign on the door saying that they were at the farmers market. When I called, the owner said that sheâd tried to call and email me (she did not), but that sheâd meet my mom and me at the store. Owner then gave us the wrong order and then chased us down the block to grab them out of our hands. Said she couldnât find our order and then tried to pass off a bunch of leftover scraps very heavy on carnations just to get rid of us. No heart, no apology, nothing. My sister spent almost $50 for these flowers .Honestly the « Rudo » here must stand for Rude. I always love supporting local businesses but Iâll never give my money to this place ever again.
MY REPLY TO OWNERâS RESPONSE: How dare you publicly post that you were taken aback by the way I spoke to my mother?! That is a cruel and unfair tactic to try to get me to remove my review.. My 84 year old mother is experiencing dementia and also has control issues and she was trying to refuse the flowers you threw together and have you refund my sisterâs account. I was standing there helpless and trying to take control back of the situation because I could see that she was getting increasingly upset. Why? Because YOU ran after us in the street and grabbed the flowers I was carrying for her out of my hands. YOU caused her emotional breakdown and then you have the nerve to say that I was to blame?! Your tactics to look good on here are beyond the pale. Did you mention in your response that you repeatedly told us that you had no record of my sisterâs purchase? That you never texted or called either of us to tell us you were closing to go to the farmerâs market? That you took scraps from your leftovers and tried to pawn them off on us without so much as an apology? I hope that anyone dealing with caring for an elderly parent with dementia reads this exchange and understands. And while you « wish my family well » I hope that you never have to deal with the stress and the grief of what you put me through. The way things are going it could my final Motherâs Day with my mom and your completely uncaring and cold attitude completely ruined what should have been a...
Read moreThe store while beautiful, left me with a negative experience that I will never forget. To be discriminated by a sales associate because I am not a white male was extremely disappointing, to say the least. Customers should be helped in the order in which they request the help, and not made to wait additional time because the sales associated decided to chat and help a customer who walked in after. This type of behavior implies that a customer's time is not important, and which was even elevated more by the sales associate micro aggression when I noted that I was in a rush. Sales associated moved even slower in what seemed to be retaliatory behavior. It is unfortunate that a small business like this has at least one sales associate that displays such behaviors. It would be great if sales associates are reminded of the idiom "first come, first served" that would very much help others not feel less than, and...
Read moreOkay... I may or may not have a huge plant problem... but as a person who has almost one of each, I will have to say that I was beside and beyond myself when I walked into this store. It is not a huge store, but it is somehow full of healthy, amazing and diverse plants! There was even a plant or two I had never heard of!
The layout of the plants is very nice, they are grouped well and the person working was very knowledgeable and professional. I walked in with the intention of buying one plant, but the prices were so reasonable, I ended up with two. One plants I bought, I didn't think I would ever buy. Now, I am a proud mother of a whales fin!
If you want fresh flowers, get a starter plant, a gift, or talk plant nerd talk.. this is the store! I will...
