NYC｜Another Overhyped Letdown… 😔

Tonight was our first time visiting this beautiful new restaurant in the community and I’m beyond satisfied! The food, customer service & hospitality was 10/10! I tried a raw sushi roll for my first time and it was so delicious and fresh! I’m usually just a tempura girl but I’m excited to return and try so much more! We also had the chicken hibachi and it was so flavorful! The fried rice was amazing, Chicken was cooked to perfection! Edamame, miso soup & dumplings were all 10/10 Hospitality was heart warming, we went with our 1 year old who was overly tired & cranky. they were so sweet! went above and beyond to make us & her feel comfortable & made sure we were taken care of the entire time. I see a great future for this restaurant, I’m so happy they’re in the neighborhood ! Worth every penny !

We called the restaurant before posting this review and all that was offered was a free soup and salad when we came in next time. Poor customer service til they realized I would leave this review. Sad to say this is par for the course with many restaurants today who do not focus on the customer or experience they are in business to provide. When a business loses sight of the customers and only focuses on profit we experience situations like this.

Excellent experience at Makoto! I visited on a Sunday in the early afternoon and it was quiet. The food was fresh and delicious and they have many options. I have seen a more extensive menu but those are very confusing and here it was simpler and easier to choose from. They have a nice mix of music playing in the background and it’s nice to hear it from the establishment own culture. Soups are yummy, salads basic but also yummy. They have some vegan options as well. Just a heads up, on Sunday they do not serve a lunch menu which was kind of disappointing. Overall an excellent new restaurant in the...
