Visited for the very first time yesterday evening and couldn't wait to get on here to say how amazing of a time I had at this retro gaming oasis!
When you think of downtown Jersey City arcades, you often right away think of the other place located a few blocks away which you can always count on a good time, but here at The Pixel Lab you are guaranteed to have HOURS of an amazing time from the aestetic to the endless gaming selection via cabinet, console and PC.
The typical arcade visit anywhere else is usually about 1, 2 or possibly 3 games (if you're lucky) that you'll be interested in throughout the night, but at this place the selection felt like I couldn't wait to finish what I was currently playing in order to get to next machine.
If old school arcades aren't your thing, this place also offers just about every console you can think of from Super Famicom to Playstation 5 as well as multiple PC stations (with an endless selection of games) that they have set up for local gaming as we observed a groups match of Super Smash Bros via wall projector!
The final icing on the cake is the foreign snack selection with various kit kat and dorito flavors I've never seen nor heard of!
Bravo to this amazing establishment for bringing back the old school arcade vibe minus the madness! I can't wait...
Read moreThis place has it all. All the benefits of barrcade minus the loud noise and booze. About 5 large screen booth with good couches for private gaming, multiple custom arcades with custom boards, and a soda bar accessible to everyone.
The staff is very helpful and the owner himself will always go out of his way to ensure you are have a great time. Friendliness and professional all the way.
Now one con is that certain booths are limited to the system they are connected to. I. E. : not all of them will have a switch, or a PS5 etc. Not a biggie.
Parking can also be an issue being Jersey City so you need to come early.
Otherwise I will be coming back with my gaming brothers to have...
Read moreI canât say enough positive things about this place and the owner Joe. We did a full buyout for a private party on relatively short notice, and they went above and beyond to and make it special.
We were able to bring in any food and drink we wanted and The Pixel Lab was nice enough to provide cups, napkins, plates, utensils, tablecloths, ice buckets, and ice.
Our guests couldnât stop talking about how much fun they had and how much they loved the space. Itâs impossible to get to every game they have in one night, and we canât wait to go back and game some more.
This team really thought of everything they could do to build a cool spot that brings value to everyone in...
