Jersey City Art School — Attraction in Jersey City

I signed up for the class that was supposed to begin from Jan 8th. It was a 6 week program so I had made sure that I was available for the next 6 weekends. Firstly, the class did not start on the intended date. Secondly, after only 1 session, the class got moved to March and I could not accommodate the class in my schedule.

Not only am I not being given the refund for the class, but also not being offered an alternate program. It’s soo soo hard to get a response over email. For every 4 emails I sent to the school, I get response to 1 of them back. Now I do understand that the class schedule was altered because of the teacher’s heath issues and there’s not much anyone could have done about it. But I don’t think it’s professional to not respond to the emails/accommodate students if the class schedule was moved by 3 months!! I practically paid $400 for 1 class. My experience with the studio has been nothing short of painful and I wish I had taken the reviews...

I have been attending the Jersey City Art School for 3 months now (4/2023 -7/2023) and my experience has been absolutely amazing! Thomas is such an experienced and knowledgeable art instructor. He is extremely detailed, helpful and will guide you each step of the way. I started by taking the Figure Drawing/Anatomy Workshop and loved it. I personally believe most people would benefit from this class not just artists. I learned so much about the human body and how it moves and I'm glad this was my first experience at JCAS. I've also taken the Beginner Drawing & Painting, Portrait Painting and most recently the 5-hour Digital Introduction Workshop and all classes have been GREAT! I've learned different techniques, became more comfortable with oils and had the opportunity to get my feet wet with digital art! The past 3 months have been educational, fun, therapeutic and inspiring. I look forward to taking on some more classes...

This summer my 8 year old son took art classes here (5 classes). It was a great experience for him, where he was exposed to many different art techniques. He enjoyed himself and looks forward to going back. The instructors are extremely talented, knowledgeable, and patient.
