Ok so if you're looking for sex toys, scams, and over priced pop it's, 100 percent the place. If you're wondering how a run down, almost everything is broken, accusatory place has such good ratings, that's when scams come into play. There's a group of about 15 dudes who always win the raffle. What raffle you ask? They tell you if you put a five star review you'll enter a raffle, normally the prize is like a Lego set, or a security camera, but theirs always like a laptop, or a Nintendo switch, y'know, something to really get your eyes on the prize, thing is, one of the people in the group always gets it, suddenly it pops up again in a month or so. Now don't get me wrong, there are deals, sure you'll have to fight for it, do something scummy, or do loads of research (sometimes all three) but none of that matters if your not there when they open. If you get their fifteen minutes late, everything's gone. But if you get just on time, yeah it's fine, can't outsmart the system though, get there at 3 am and wait? You'll get in same time as someone who got their at 8am. They let everyone get in first, a rule the made after fights would happen from that group getting at the back and making up rules. When I waited till about 4am, all the sudden they said the chairs that they put out there on Thursday, were spot reservations. Then once other people used that, and they no longer had reservations, all the sudden chairs aren't allowed. Then everyone came in at the same time. The place nextdoor is great, awesome place, got an 80$ monitor for 40, if your white or black or Asian, don't bother going, if you wanna win something, better be a race they approve of. Buy something nice? Wonderful! Wanna bring it the next day? Well according to them you stole it. See someone actually steal something, all good, don't say anything, with the amount they steal from you without your knowledge, you get that money! Just never ever ever snitch on others. I don't wanna keep going because I need sleep, but that place is a scam marked...
Read moreAs a frequent user, I managed to get to know the gentleman that work there and honesty is to be said, they are always polite and professional, unlike some of the girls working there BEWARE BEWARE of how many items you have before checking out and never be fooled by paying over price for an item you did not get.
On 2 separate events the following happened:
On the 4$ day, the young lady working at the register charged me 33.xx first for 5 items, so I made an excuse to see if she will notice and I went to get my wallet from the car by then she helped the customer that was after me, when I came back my total was 22.xx.
P.A mistakes do happen but I am not paying extra for others to make mistakes on the account of my wallet even if it's 1 dollar.
Today June 12, I found a bidet the item on the 2$ day, it comes with a hot water hose, cold water hose, and balanced heat hose, as well as different heads for different toilet bowls sizes. One of the ladies was insisting that Its a separate item, she tried to explain that it has a different lable, which could mean you and I are over paying for items that should come together but are sold separately and individually.
I am personally annoyed from that attitude knowing that I am not asking for free stuff just what I am paying for.
Long story short, every business in Houston operates properly the first 6 months max, only then the service deteriorate, the prices go up and material quality drops.
I hope this is not what is happening here. I wish the guys working there all the best. Yet not the rude woman that made me feel like I am trying to steal an item that is worth...
Read moreHey for those that think this place is just a bunch of junk. It's not necessarily true. When they first opened - their first $7 day they had cappuccino makers that were brand new, and a host of other nice items. You do have to pick through some stuff, but if you are patient, and are not near any hoarders it helps. My first time here was the .50 cents day. I walked out with 22 items that cost me a total of $11, and I can sell one of the items on ebay for $100 (no not kidding).
My second time was the $7/day, and I got some very nice things from here including about 8 things that were worth at least 6 or 7 times as much, and you can look up the items on Amazon while you are there to see what they sell for.
The downside is that the more people know about the place - the more they stalk the late additions of other merchandise, and they reach over and swoop like 50 things up and throw them in their shopping cart, and then they go through all 50 items to see what it is and if they want it, and it's unfortunate that people can be so stingy - so bring someone that has some strength to reach over the selfish people that do that.
I did, however, buy some cables that I thought were a good deal and come to find out 2 of them were missing their ends. So make sure you look at EVERYTHING closely, and they now also have a department that will open sealed boxes for you to ensure that the entire purchase is in the box.
You have to look at it like an "excellent adventure for stuff you didn't know you needed" -...
