I was told to try Royce chocolate because "it's the best chocolate in the world" and it has lived up to the hype!!
Their nama chocolate is AMAZING. It's incredibly soft, smooth, and creamy - each bite just melts in your mouth. The texture is chocolate ganache-esque without being too heavy or overpowering. Each box is $20, and we bought 6 of the nama flavors to try. The chocolate flavor is very high quality, and many of them have a nice subtle addition of a liqueur finish without being too bitter. The white chocolate based ones I also found delightful, and I usually don't like white chocolate; they were not too sweet. My favorite I've tried has to be the salé and orange seasonal flavor, but you honestly can't go wrong because they are all sensational.
The shop sign is not up yet, but it is located next to the AT&T store. It's small inside, but the workers are very nice and professional! We were offered samples during our visit which was a huge plus. They package everything very nicely in insulated bags with cooling packs so that it can stay fresh for 2-3 hours on the road.
So excited to have this store open up in the area, and I am looking forward to coming back to try their new...
Read moreRoyce’s Nama chocolate is the best chocolate I’ve ever had!!! Their nama chocolate is sold in sets of 20 for $19.99 (you get 20 pieces of one flavor).
The store front is not labeled, but it’s right next to AT&T. The store itself is fairly small and can get crowded fast. The employees are very helpful and know a lot about the chocolate. They also hand out samples!
There’s a lot of flavors to pick from (seasonal flavors as well). I got a seasonal flavor, caramel salé & orange.
The chocolate has to refrigerated pretty soon after you purchase it, but they wrap the chocolate box in an insulated bag and put a little ice pack inside with it to keep it cold. This was really helpful since the drive back was around an hour and my chocolate didn’t melt at all in the car.
Totally worth the drive to Johns Creek!! I will definitely be going back to try...
Read moreSuch a cute little store, I was not familiar with Japanese chocolate so this was a new treat for me. I loved the creaminess of the chocolate and the subtle flavors. It's definitely perfect for savoring. I tried a few nama chocolates (Champagne, Bitter, and Ghana bitter). The Ghana and the regular Bitter were very close in flavor, but I ended up buying the Bitter simply because of the slight alcohol infusion. I also tried the chocolate wafers matcha and the cherry cube. I'm not typically a cherries and chocolate person, but the flavors were perfect and I'd definitely try them again.
Overall love the chocolates and will definitely visit again when they have nama chocolate matcha available. The young lady that worked there was very nice and knowledgeable about...
