The two star rating is for the times prior to this instance when I actually received good customer service. As a bigger girl, Torrid was a godsend to me. Pretty clothes that matched my size! The staff has usually been excellent. Not this last time! I go in wearing my hooded sweatshirt, and I look over the jeans a little bit. They are expensive, but okay I might buy one pair for a present for myself. The sales associate followed me around like I was gonna steal from them! She finally said something to me, asking if she could help me find something, and I told her "If I am going to pay this much for jeans, do you have any with 80% or higher cotton count in them so they won't fray in a week?" Read moreThe salesperson was helpful when I was trying on clothes, but when I got to the register they informed me that they DON'T take a check and DON'T take google pay. My husband had to drive an hour to bring our credit card. When he got there, and rang up our purchase, they flagged our credit card for fraud! This locks down our account until the bank contacts us and clears it. I used to work in retail and know it wasn't a "system did it" thing as she claimed. She had to choose that option. We had another engagement to be at and did not have time to waste, standing there at a register, waiting for the bank to contact us. Read moreWent to shop at the Torrid in Johnson City Mall last week and the air conditioning was out it was hotter than I can physically handle. Went back for Memorial Day sales and the air conditioner was still out!!! This is unexceotable for a company not to fix their air conditioning for employees and customers!!! I went to Belk and JC Penny to shop instead. Bad news for Torrid and good news for Belk and JC Penny. I should ask for a call back when it's repair and not miserable...
