I recently got engaged and I brought my ring in to get it resized at the Johnson City Mall. I did purchase the warranty as I was told if we purchase the warranty they can get it send off for resizing which would be included. So I was encouraged to purchase the warranty. Well when my ring was done, I received a phone call that my ring was ready to pick up and I have planned to pick my ring the same day, I was told before I went in to show my receipt for when I purchased the warranty. Well upon arrival the original lady that talked me into the warranty was there and I let her know that I was there to pick up my ring, I got a look that they didn’t know what I was talking about. Well she passed me along to another worker there and she did not provide the best customer service. She asked me if I had my receipt and I gave her the receipt I was given and she kept telling me that she couldn’t find it. I have the confirmation receipt stapled inside a pamphlet they gave me so I had to instruct her to open it. After I got my ring I had a few questions about the warranty that I was told to bring it in for maintenance cleaning and asked how often do I need to do that, I felt like she wanted me to hurry up and go and told me to just bring in August and to bring it in before I lose a diamond. Not sure what she meant because I don’t plan to lose a diamond but if that happens accidentally I was told with the warranty they would replace it for free. She didn’t make no sense to me and her demeanor was rude to me. This is my 2 visit there and each time I was not giving the best customer service. I will try a different Zales location before I go there again, it just not welcoming there and I will refer other to a different location. I do love my ring just didn’t appreciate the...
Read moreI'm honestly shocked that this place is still in business. 15 years ago my husband purchased my wedding set here. He got the zales card and they offered him the insurance for the card, which he declined. We purchased the ring, paid it off and canceled the card. Flash forward a year and we get a letter from a collection agency. Apparently Zales signed him up for the insurance after he had told them he didn't want it. When you cancel the card the insurance company continue to charge the card unless you call them and tell them to cancel it. We didn't do this because we didn't know we had the insurance. We fought it but still ended up having to pay.
Also, when he purchased the ring they explained in no uncertain terms that we had to have the ring cleaned and inspected every 6 months or the warranty would be voided. About a year after we got married I forgot to have it cleaned. I went to the store to verify that the warranty was voided. They said it was, there wasn't anything covered anymore, and basically said good luck. Flash forward to now, and the ring is tarnished, the prongs are worn and it's now too small. It got to where I couldn't wear it anymore and because the cost of repairs and resizing was so high we ended up just purchasing a new set. I missed my old one though so I took it to the store in Knoxville to see about getting it refurbished. The girl there looked up the warranty and IT'S STILL VALID! Everything that my ring needs is totally covered. The Johnson City store just flat out lied about it. So now my original ring is being refurbished like it could have been years ago. What a joke of a business. Go literally...
Read more4 years ago we went to the Mall to buy me a pair of diamond earrings. A jewelry store directly across from Zales completely ignored us, so we went to Zales. We were not ignored. I picked out my earrings and that was that. Fast forward 4 years and now we were buying my engagement ring and wedding band set and his wedding ring. They were so nice and helpful. They showed us some rings, let me try them on and I felt they were happy like me. My engagement ring and wedding band set were to big so they worked to get a ring sizer on my ring. I never knew how skinny my fingers were. Fast forward a week... we get married and the 2nd thing we did afterwards was go to Zales to see if they could put a sizer on the entire thing so I could wear it for a few days before I sent it to get officially sized. They fixed it perfectly with a sizer. Also... they were so happy to see us... I felt they were genuinely happy for us. We will always go to Zales first because of their service and how they made us feel. Thank you Zales... sorry, not sorry, to the store directly...
