One star is two to many. My complaint after reading the reviews is common for this location. Sadly, this isn’t a time where I am happy to say I am not alone. My first and very last trip to this store. I placed an over over $200 for pickup. When I first walk in the employees pay zero attentions I walk up and ask for help and “how dare I bother them” attitude is a Whats up” attitude. I went into the store to get my order but I was also going to buy a lot more. I just wanted to look at several things first. So, I explained why I was there and what I was looking for. My list was long so I started with the intentions of one concern at a time. The lady was rude but reluctantly helped me, I honestly felt more confused after her help then when I started…onto the makeup where I got no help to start…then Laura in a bright yellow dress and white sandals…trying to be cute like Easter ( my guess ) is apparently not one that appreciates having her time on the click disturbed. And, because I wasn’t going fast enough and preferred to use the same brand when coordinating lip liners and glosses vs her way if buying one brand and another must have caused her irritation…she lied and told me she would be back…surprise surprise she had no intentions in that. So, to drive my point of being insulted home…I grabbed several items and when I went to check out I asked which color she liked and chose the opposite. I spent $130 but would have spent a lot more than that had someone actually done their job. I own my own company and I assure you I would fire people in the spot if they acted like that. Regardless of what I was going to spend or not, you do not treat people like that. And, the store was a disaster because items were everywhere except in their right spot. Maybe I am wrong but, I thought revenue created jobs. And, it’s hard to generate it if you turn customers away vs help them in order to create a revenue stream. In cosmetic stores, one would assume associates might wear makeup and use hair products to promote inventory…obviously that doesn’t happen either. I’m not here to criticize anyone but, facts are facts. I cannot have any respect for people that have none to start with. And, I won’t do business with any company who has associates who pride themselves in lying just get out if helping. On top of that…I get home only to find eyeshadow broken. I was unable to find a hair stylist here in Johnson City to cut my hair and get it exactly the way I like it until I found Melody!!!! She's the BEST in the Tri Cities area for sure!!!!! My hair has never looked as good as it does when Melody does her magic!!!! I always wanted to find someone who could cut hair to perfection and now I have found a hair stylist that does just that!!!! Not only does she cut my hair perfectly, Melody also makes me feel so comfortable when I'm in her chair. Melody is so friendly and her positive attitude and her professionalism is A++++++ !!!!!!!! I will not let anyone else cut my hair !!!!! You will not find anyone who can cut and style hair better than Melody!!!! I used to be a stylist myself and still have an eye for what’s done right and what went wrong. The first stylist I was referred to completely botched my highlights. I paid a premium for a full head of highlights and was given more of a partial highlight that was chunky. On top of that, I asked for a cooler toner shade as I don’t like yellow blonde. Almost $300 and 3 hours later, I was given chunky yellow hair. Going to Ulta wasn’t my first choice but something in my gut said to give it a shot, that someone there would be able to correct my hair. Today, I checked in for my appointment with anxiety. My stylist, Autumn, greeted herself, actively listened to my hair complaint and concerns, looked at the photo of what I wanted, warned me that she’s extra thorough and takes extra time with highlights. Granted, the appointment took hours… Autumn corrected my hair and delivered precisely what I was looking for. She was engaging, humorous, knowledgeable and a talent among talents!
