My father died when I was 16 years old. Five years ago in 2019? My mother died from breast cancer. They both collected coins, taught me to love them & passed down their collections to me. We thought my mother beat breast cancer. She died suddenly 12.22.19 after reconstructive surgery. I was not in the right state of mind at all. She was my every thing & best friend in the entire world, maybe even my only friend. I was unmedicated & a mess.

So, right after I lost my mother at 32 years old, I walked into icoin. This was not a premeditated thing. This was the first, last & only time I did any thing like this. I was in a really dark place. I started taking Morgan silver dollars one by one, mindlessly, as this elderly man looked away. I got home & decided that I was a terrible person, grabbed 7 of my own key date Morgan dollars & went back to icoin to make amends.

The police were already there. I gave them every thing back & so much more: the very best key date silver Morgan dollars that exist, of my own, to try to make things right. If you know any thing about Morgans? The key date ones are 10’s of thousands of dollars. Of course, Dennis (the owner of Icoin) did not press charges. What grounds did he have to stand upon? I gave them every thing back & more! The officer prayed with me. Since then, I have gotten professional help & am medicated.

Dennis? Prints out a picture of my license, which is really invasive in itself, & gives it to every single coin show or convention’s sponsors. I have my parents’ collections & I really need money. Dennis continues to harass me at every single event for over 5 years, now. He proceeds to have security escort me out & treats me like a criminal. He manipulates the people running events into telling me that if I come back there ever again? I will be trespassing. I tried calling the police one time & they told me that I couldn’t go into the show, either. This is not fair or okay to do to any one! I have not been able to sell any of my parents’ collection because of the harassment from Dennis! FOR OVER FIVE YEARS, NOW, WITHOUT FAIL, HE CONTINUES TO HARASS ME AT COIN SHOPS, SHOWS & CONVENTIONS!!!!!

Dennis has no heart. I have endlessly called & apologized, begged, pleaded, crying hysterically trying to tell them my mother had just died & I am better, now. I was even going to this other shop in Bolingbrook, ‘Chicagoland Rare Coins’ & while I was in the store, Dennis got there and I was already friends with Jon, the owner in Bolingbrook but I told him what happened to me at icoin. So, Jon asked me if I could just wait in my car while he does business with Dennis & that was fine. I sat in my car before they even got there. While I was sitting there, when Dennis & his wife saw me? They both flicked me off in the parking lot. When I saw them, before they flicked me off? I just put my hands together 🙏 bowed asking for forgiveness but Dennis & apparently his wife, will not give me any. I am assuming they gave Jon of Bolingbrook’s ‘Chicagoland’s Rare Coins’ an ultimatum because Jon told me that I cannot come back to his shop because of his business with Dennis. What ever Dennis told Jon? Scared him enough to cut me completely off. I am assuming it is that the coin world is extremely tight knit & small, because it is.

I am tired of being harassed by the owner of icoin for some thing that I never did, to begin with! As a matter of fact? I came directly back to the shop to face the music & donated 7 silver key date Morgans for the inconvenience! I was in a dark place! Even being there, I knew it was the right thing to do by immediately returning the coins & giving him some of my own.

I will be getting an OP against Dennis if he gets me thrown out of another coin shop, show or convention & I’m going to take him to court. I have done nothing wrong! I have nothing to be ashamed of! If any thing? Icoin hustled me out of 7 silver key date Morgan dollars. If they cannot forgive me? I want all of it back & am not seeking forgiveness for some thing that I never did in the first...

My first time selling and at a coin shop! I’m new to coins, but I did some research beforehand to make sure I was getting fair prices. I also brought in a few broken pieces of gold jewelry to sell.

Dick greeted me right away and got to work testing the jewelry—turns out some of what I thought was gold wasn’t . He gave me a good buy price on the rest, then we moved on to my old collectible silver coins. I already knew roughly what they were worth, but I couldn’t help smiling when he quickly identified each one and quoted values right in line with my research.

It was an easy, quick, and pleasant transaction. The owner, Steven, was there too, and when I asked about tax, he pointed to a plaque on the wall and said, “No—there should never be tax on gold or silver, and I was one of four people who made that possible.” How very cool!

Both guys were great—friendly, professional, and not the least bit pushy. The shop was surprisingly busy, but I never felt rushed. Definitely a place...

I stopped by Icoin hoping to have an accurate appraisal done of some coins I have. Maybe sell some. I have dropped off collectibles or other items at reputable shops in the past to have appraisals and come back later to see what they have to say. They wanted to go through everything I had right there (hundreds of coins) and they lowballed everything. Silver was 2 different prices while I was there, wheat pennies were 2 cents period by weight. No key dates, no nothing. Steel pennies were 4 cents etc etc. I asked if they could take the time to look through, see if anything was worth something. The guy said "nah" kept rolling my 1922 silver dollar between his fingers...... Oh, my 1 dollar silver Certs, they offered $1.20 for. I have seen worse ones on ebay for $9. My silver gram pieces I got from my unc, he said I prob lost money on them..... Weird...
