PIZZAS BY MARCHELLONI — Restaurant in Joliet

Saw an article on google local news feed that this establishment had new owners and were trying to better their name due to poor customer satisfaction from the old owners. So I thought I’d give them a try and help support local business. Growing up in Berwyn/Cicero area, I had some of the best pizza around (imo), so that’s what I’m always comparing new pizza places to. I called to place an order for a pan pizza with extra sauce and cheese and had called 5 min before they opened. I got through on the second ring and placed my order with who I think was one of the owners. Very friendly on the phone. Said he’d have in ready in 20 min. It’s easy to pass the place up if you’ve never picked up from their. The store is actually connected to white fence farm, so it’s all one building. I totally missed the sign they have, so they are not invisible in any way. Picked up my pie with a friendly greeting and at a very fair price! The pan pizza was good. Typical light buttery crust, not soggy at all. Sauce was good. Good authentic taste. Cheese was good with no grease. I would rate my first experience with 3.8 stars. A little better than average. Pros for me were pricing and size of pizza, I got the 16”. I will for sure try them again and order a thin crust next time. Satisfied and happy new...

I have been a frequent customer for many years. Their pizza was always very good until recently. I have noticed a slight reduction of quality on the last few orders. Today I placed an order for a pizza and the only thing I can say it was the worst pizza I ever had. It was not very warm and sparcely covered with toppings. The taste was very different and generally tasteless. I was sure someone made a mistake. I called them to report their mistake and described what I got. The woman I talked to said she has been making the pizza for ten years. I asked if she could have made a mistake. She claimed she does not make mistakes. I asked to talk to the Manager. She told me she was the owner. The three of us who were trying to eat the pizza decided could not eat it and threw it in the garbage. I cannot, in good conscience...

Ordered pizza and dough nuggets for myself and my kids last night for dinner. The pizza was okay, a little overcooked in my opinion, but the dough nuggets were so terrible we couldn’t even eat them! They were cold, hard as a rock, very dark(almost burned), and just so covered in salt and seasonings that they were inedible. I made a complaint with Slice because that is where I ordered it off of online and they contacted Marchelloni’s who said that they would do nothing about our order because it was fine when it left their establishment. Very disappointing especially since it’s not often we’re able to order food out.
