Quality Customer Service in light of impedement.
If 2 people talk at the same time I vibrate.
I'm thoroughly Autistic. If there are fluorescent lights involved then the day is exponentially harder. God forbid somebody starts a vaccuum.
So I signed up for a gym membership on the site. Genuinely, just a better idea for people like myself.
I received a complimentary consultation with a personal trainer. This is a great opportunity for normies but it was ironically the last thing I needed š
In the meeting, I was under the impression that I was being introduced to the gym and finalizing paperwork for my membership. This seemed like the necessary human element. I sat my head to one side for 30 minutes and tried to do the human thing...in a gym.
I hope my autistic friends understand the issue I was having. I felt it went great because I Passed the social circumstance of being welcomed to the gym and signing paperwork without losing composure.
It didn't go great initially. I was mistaken. Having used the site to purchase exactly the membership I needed, I was upset to find that I had stumbled into a personal training plan that was entirely optional. The pretext had been different.
At first I felt duped, but I've come to realize this to be a fault in communication and expectations as laid out.
Thankfully, the 10 fitness crew are taking action to amend this confusion such that I can have the membership I set out for and get good use of the gym facilities. With the opportunity to take advantage of my sluggish comprehension in context, they have chosen to provide quality customer service. The higher ups have explained their purposed practices to help individuals where they are in their fitness journey, and I really appreciate their ethic.
If and when I am in a place to set higher goals, I will be reaching out to the PTs here at 10 fitness. Ethical conduct is hard to come by and does not have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI WAS a member of this gym for over 15 years. James (Lex) Owens. Recently I had to get a new circle code. The thing you put on your key ring. I didnāt have my key ring so I just stuck it in my pocket. They also gave me a wristband. That night I worked out and must have lost my circle code at the gym. Two days later, I couldnāt find my circle code. I did not know it was lost at the time, I thought I had left it at the house or in my brothers car, so I used my wristband. It didnāt work. I called the number. Talked to a guy named Joshua that said I āshared my wristbandā and someone came in with it the night before. I told him thatās not possible because Iāve had my wristband the whole time. He said Iām looking at the notes and it says āshared his wristbandā. I told him I might have lost my circle code but they didnāt use my wristband. I told him I wouldnāt do that. Iāve been a member a long time. He told me āpeople do it all the timeā. I said I did not do it. He said you just got a new member code two days ago and someone tried to use it the next day. So I had to have shared it. I told him I didnāt, and thatās fine, Iāll talk with the manager on Monday. Itās just I donāt like someone telling me I did something I did NOT do. I asked his name (Joshua) and asked if this was recorded. He could have said someone used your code to get in so youāll have to talk with a manager. Instead he made me feel like a criminal and told me I shared my wristband. I asked to cancel. He sent the form (no remorse). And last night I canceled my membership with 10fitness after over 15 straight years of membership. Terrible after hours customer service. Iāll be glad to deal with the MANY other gyms in the area than to ever deal with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe equipment is dated compared to many of the new gyms in town. While the womens zone might make it easier to get women who are uncomfortable working out with men around in the door I see it as a waste of space that could be used to keep up with the other gyms which seem to have more variety of equipment to use especially in the current gender system. The company seems to cheap to have the tanning beds open 24/7 how hard are keycard doors to install I had a gym that had them on their tanning beds back in 2006. They are also more expensive than most gyms on their level but with less variety of equipment. Also their are very few gym events that get the members motivated compared to their competitors in town. The company doesn't seem interested in really reinvesting in the gym just content with harvesting membership fees. All and all I couldn't recommend them over anyone...
