Bought a sofa for my son's upstairs bedroom about a year ago, and the delivery charge was $120.
Went back last week to buy a bed for the same room. The bill of sale quoted the same delivery charge of $120. I specifically asked if the $120 included assembly and was told it did. When the delivery arrived, the charge suddenly went up to $180 because it was being moved upstairs (to the same room the couch was delivered to). We were only told this AFTER the components had been carried upstairs and unboxed and were then told we could pay the $180 or it would be left unassembled. I called the store who tried to tell me I'd have to work it out with the delivery company (MY contract is with Cleo's; Cleo's is the one with the contract with the movers).
I was being held hostage, so I paid the $180, but called back and spoke with Brad to ask for the regional manager and was told there are no regional managers -- I could only deal with the store. I knew that was an outright lie, so I called the store in Little Rock, who took my info and said the regional manager would return my call. A while later, I received a call from Brad saying they'd cover the $60, but I'd already paid it, so he said they'd issue a refund.
It's been a couple of days, and no refund has been issued, and the regional manager has never reached out at all. The purchase was fine, and the furniture is good, but their business delivery practices are fraudulent. I won't be shopping Cleo's again.

   Read moreI will NOT ever recommend Cleos Furniture to anybody. I purchased a living room set either this past Saturday or Sunday and the way I was treated was absolutely unprofessional. The guy rushed us as me and my family was looking around the store to make our final selection. So as we decided to make our selection I knew that I didnât have cash on me at the time so the salesman stated to us that âwe need to go home at find a hidden jar in our yardâ basically discriminating us as black people like we are drug dealers.. we made a sale after being rushed into the sale and was told that the furniture would be delivered today..7-15-21 I called several times to the store & here it is 4:30 still NO FURNITURE! I gave them time and finally decided I wanted to cancel the order. They instantly flipped & started telling us that it would be 15% of the full price which wasnât a problem, after arriving to the store they started saying it would be almost $400 that will not be refundable. I called around and was told that make sure you tell them to have the district manager to give you a call they REFUSED to give them my number or leave a message for him to call. They completely started arguing back and forth with me and was walking around the store making calls and left me at the desk with NO HELP! This store is a complete rip off. Very unprofessional. Moving to Jonesboro and using them for new furniture is a mistake. He makes no deals with you at all and along with that LIES. He told my father when buying the furniture that he would pay for shipping, that was there deal. 3000 dollars later, the man showed up to deliver and put together the furniture alone. He did an AMAZING job & we are so thankful for him!! I ended up having to pay 100 dollars for shipping in person to him because Brad lied to us and never paid a thing. He pocketed the money, as well as lying to me on the phone saying he said he would pay everything but 100 on the shipping that I would be left to pay. Even after I would pay 100 which isnât what he had said, the shipping and installation was only 100 dollars. He then told me with that amount of pieces of furniture and the location of where I moved it would cost 250 usually and he had already paid everything but the â100â which I needed to pay. I then said okay which isnât what he had said AT ALL, but then the moving guy stated he never received any money from him at all. So they money he was gonna pay for shipping he pocketed scamming not only me out, but the guy moving our furniture as well.
