Performance Audio & Tint — Local services in Junction City

I recently came in to Performance Audio to find out the prices regarding door actuators for my vehicle. One of the gentlemen approached me once I entered the building and immediately asked if I needed assistance and of course I informed him my problem. He was kind enough to verify, without charging me a dime, both my door actuators. He felt that the actuators were probably lose, which they were, and just needed to be bolted back up. There was another employee who heard my issue as I was chatting with the first gentleman and he immediately threw a price of $200 for install plus any other faults that would cause any problems. Now the first employee was kind enough to lend a hand to help a fellow active service member out however the other employee, I felt, was out trying to rack any and all money dry from me. What's worse is that this company does not stipulate any written agreement or important information, on paper of course, informing customers about their return policies, restocking fees, or any pertinent info customers need before they make a final decision. It's so unfortunate that there are businesses out there that still prey on soldiers. It's also sad that the kindness of that first gentlemen is overshadowed by the crooked and shady workings of that establishment. The first employee should be an example to Performance Audio and help educate to their overall business mindset and genuine customer service. I will ensure that Fort Riley understands the type of business Performance Audio is and have the thorough support to blacklist them from this installation. Have spent over $3000 here.. The customer service is as good as a car salesman and the quality of the work was good. Had them install a JL W7 13 with a JL 1200HD amp 2 years ago in a ported custom box that looked good and you couldn't get the the sub or the amp. It blew once in 6 months which was covered under JLs warranty but blew again about a year ago but I work out of state and have been gone without the car or sub since when it started to go out and since I knew I was leaving for work didn't have time to go get it checked out until yesterday. When I went in they told me the guarantee it wasn't hooked up incorrectly without even looking and the person who hooked it up no longer works there. I had them humor me and test is which the reluctantly did (kind of) it was at 63.5 volts and should be 60.. (the remote gain which they hooked up was turned almost al the way down). I had to remove the back cover of the box to even get to the wires which I did there so they could see it wasn't removed. I tested it with the remote gain turned up and tested it again and it was 106.5. volts. They claim to know audio but with the max should be the max of the safe range of the amp, and when I was there they were more concerned about selling a used JLw7 12 for the same price as it would cost to get the JLw13 fix which JL now replaces the sub with a brand new sub so basically tried to make money to give me a worse sub for the same price it would cost me to replace the better one.. (There is more but wouldn't recommend them to hook up a system correctly and after the purchase is complete wouldn't honor the service and...

Awesome locally owned company that takes care of the locals and military transplants! I have seen a lot of their work in town (and a great chance you have too!) and it looks great. I had them install a remote start on my truck and my husband's truck. My husband was hesitant, but after meeting with them and seeing how they took care of his truck, and showed him how to use it, he was SOLD! He uses it every day, several times a day. He is not one to brag about things he has, but he tells everyone that he got it at Performance Audio and they should head down there, too. I'm pretty sure if given a Performance Audio sticker, he'd proudly slap that on his truck (and he has NO stickers on it). As a MILITARY family of nearing 20 years, we have seen our share of businesses who do take advantage of the military and this is NOT one of those.. PERFORMANCE AUDIO IS TOPS IN KNOWLEDGE, PRODUCT, & SUPPORT. Their support goes far beyond the technical aspects of what they do. And for the record, having grown up around people with car audio systems of all types, I would not be surprised if most of these negative reviews were from people who were being stupid with their systems or devices and didn't listen to this team's expertise.
