I reached out to this establishment privately on Monday. With no response. This is the message I sent through their Facebook as well as through their website. Being as I haven't heard from them yet, I'm just going to leave this here:

"Hello.
My name is Wren Tincott. I was in with my wife and mother earlier tonight and I would really like to speak to someone who might be able to clarify some things. when we ordered my wife ordered originally the Philly sandwich and asked for a gluten free bun substitution. our server returned and apologized that the chef didn't have a gluten free bun the size the sandwich would call for and offered instead to sub it for a gluten free wrap. we agreed to the substitution but then moments later were informed there were no gluten free wraps available either. we were then offered the option to turn the sandwich into tacos and were asked how many we would like. I replied, as much as a Philly sandwich (our original order) would need. we were very surprised to find that we had been charged for 3 tacos which did not come with a side. If we had known we would be charged per taco for what was originally a philly steak sandwich order as well as not receiving a side of any kind we could have chosen something different. however, we were not informed that instead of the best possible substitution (which we thought we were getting) our Philly sandwich order would be treated like a taco order and therefore it would not come with a side. I don't feel this is right. and the price change was not expected, nor do I feel justified. we were under the impression the tacos were just a way to get us as close to what we originally ordered despite the kitchen being out of key ingredients. there was also an issue with my mother's chicken fried steak coming out with gravy and having to be remade and her salad wasn't brought out until after I approached a waitress about it. our server was very kind but flustered after having to present us with so many substitution from lack of ingredients so I'm choosing to reach out here for some sort of resolution instead of having "made a scene" at your establishment/just blasted you on Facebook. I really do want this restaurant to thrive and was so excited to see one with home cooking that was also affordable with a classy feel. but I feel our experience was lacking and would appreciate it if someone would reach out to me in...
Read moreFirst time eating here. Loved the menu options. Atmosphere would've been better had there not been a horrible baby powder air freshener smell constantly going off. The strong fragrance took away from the taste and smell of the food. The street taco (grilled shrimp and bacon with pico and pineapple) I ordered was excellent! I highly recommend it. The chips with queso and salsa were fresh and tasted great, but there seemed to be confusion with "bottomless". We were pretty sure the menu said it was "bottomless" for the chips, queso, and salsa, but when we asked for a refill, the server said the queso and salsa would be an upcharge? My husband ordered a chicken wrap, and he was not impressed because it was small and unbalanced in the halves. Half of the wrap had very little chicken and a lot of onions, and the other half had most of the chicken with no onions. The onion rings and sauce were good. The mac and cheese hit the spot. Service seemed to be lacking for a busy Friday night. We sat at the bar so we were able to listen and watch the staff and other customers. There were complaints about drink prices and complaints about how long drinks and food were taking. There seemed to be an issue with a table with kids as we were leaving. The woman was becoming loud and upset. The bartender was busting her butt only to have others mess up her rhythm trying to help. The bar was not ready for a rush. Many bottles were almost empty and should've had backups ready to go. The bartender should've had a back-up person to help stock and fill glasses with ice, clean up, and deliver drinks to the end of the bar to the servers not be micromanaged and having others jump in randomly. The restaurant was tastefully decorated for the holidays. The staff appeared nicely dressed. The bathroom was clean. For the size of the restaurant, the kitchen staff were not keeping up. The appetizer we ordered came out in a decent amount of time, but the meal was much slower to arrive. It may be better to focus on appetizers and drinks being more prompt so it gives the kitchen time to catch up a bit. The hosts could've staggered seating tables a little more to help with speed of service. It seemed like they had several reservations as well. I will try this restaurant again as I'm hoping these are just...
Read moreUpdate: 7/10/24: Each time we go (3rd x) it's a worse experience; we won't be returning after this. I was given chicken fried chicken, but I had ordered chicken fried steak. When I finally got the correct meal; the chicken fried steak tasted old like it had been sitting around for awhile. I barely ate any of it and my husband whom loves chicken fried steak wouldn't even eat it and he's ate it there the 2nd time we went. He had the German Jägerschnitzel ,it was small and lacked flavor and he flat out didn't like it. Yes he's been in Germany and is familiar with it. The dog may be getting what we brought home at this rate. We are tired of spending our $$ there with food prices being what they are; we aren't going to waste $$ at Blu again. Update: 2/5/24: We went again today for an early Valentine meal. I ordered two of the Street Tacos. Both were so spicy that neither I or my husband could eat them and he loves spicy food. It was so spicy that my mouth and lips were burning from the spice. We ended up just leaving the un-ate tacos at the table when we left. I have had pico de gallo before at other places and never had a problem eating it until today. My husband who eats all kinds of spicy food couldn't take a bit without his mouth burning. What a disappointing early Valentine meal. ///// Our first time going to Blu; it won't be our last; so many things we still want to try on the menu. We went mid afternoon and only one other table there. The Frickles came out quickly and were yummy with a Southwest Ranch dipping sauce that had a bit of a bite. I had the steak & shrimp that came out just the way I ordered it and it was great. Hubby had the Hawaiian Burger and he was in love with it as soon as he tasted it. It too was cooked just the way he wanted it. If you are into chocolate; make sure to give the Chocolate Martini a try; it was sinfully good! The price on the martini was certainly within reason and not overkill. Our server was Lloyal and he did a great job with our service; he was attentive and was able to answer our questions. He gave us the right amount of service and was easy to speak too and knowledgeable. All in all; we had a relaxing meal. Make sure to...
