Let me begin by saying we used to love this place until recently when a new manager or owner took over. We have always bought the food for our 4 pups there as well as groomed 2 of them. Never did we ever had a problem when grooming, and the groomers always told us how great the pups were when we picked them up. A few months ago when we went to pick up our pup, this lady that we had only seen once before told us in a very abrasive way that she included a (difficult pet fee) to our bill because our pup was being too (wiggly), and there was a need for two groomers to do the work. I was surprised and asked questions because this had never happened before. Our groomer Caitlyn had always been happy and friendly but this new to me manager or owner had a nasty demeanor and I didn’t like the way she approached the situation so I asked Caitlyn to please remove the dogs from their appointment rotations because of the way that other lady was acting. Caitlyn was nice about it and on our way we went. Today my husband went in to try to get our Senior pup in since she always felt comfortable with Caitlyn but the same lady again was there and was again abrasive towards my husband and proceeded to tell him that I upset the groomer which was news to me since Caitlyn knew who I was upset with, and I was nothing but nice to her as we thought highly of her. I didn’t want to take our pup back but went in for an appointment in hopes that her regular groomer could do it, but she made it clear to my husband that we weren’t welcome. People like that lady should not be allowed to work with animals. She also lacks people skills. It’s ok to talk about a problem without being nasty. It’s too bad that after years of supporting this business one person had to ruin it.
Response to Kelsey's reply: Maybe you should take a look at your video footage if you have any because I never yelled or stormed out, I asked Caitlyn a couple of questions because she was the groomer that we had dealt with most of the time and whom we trusted. We were never told anything before other than he was great but a bit nervous when doing his paws. The review was clearly nothing against Caitlyn, but you. You were the abrasive one! It was never about the "difficult pet fee". It was strictly about how YOU approached the situation. Years with no issues until you...
Read moreA bit overpriced on most things. The DIY pet wash was why I went there. Unfortunately halfway through their water heater stopped working and my poor pup got a cold, very cold rinse. Not exactly ideal for a pup's first bath after being adopted the day before. Not really the fault of the store but the property owner or landlord. Need to be fixed. Actually they should have tankless setup so things like this wouldn't happen. Hopefully next time my pup will was a better experience
Unless that elk antler was 35 bucks, which is ridiculously high, I was charged for the DIY. Her jacket was 80 bucks and it cost me 115 (approx) so I don't believe it was free. I was told it was going to be, but the math doesn't add up. I've never heard of a tankless water heater going hot and cold unless it was malfunctioning. They always provide hot water, and that's why they are a good thing to have. Along with saving space. I wasn't criticizing this store, but pointing out the facts. They sell "higher end" products for the dog and they are priced accordingly. Yes you can find similar products for less and that's why I said overpriced. I will continue to use this place to wash my dog, and possibly get more chews. Not at the price of $35 which I know it wasn't. It's on the website for $20, which makes sense because the DIY wash is $15, which for an off grid person that doesn't have the amenities, is...
Read more-Our dog Jaxon was diagnosed by Flathead Pet Emergency with ulcers in both eyes after his grooming appointment at Dee-O-Gee on 01/15/2020, photo attached. My review won't go into the details, as we have already been in contact with the Manager privately, but the Veterinarian pointed to the ingredients in the cleaning agent used on his face as the probable cause, along with potential hard scrubbing around his eyes. -I don't think I've ever left a negative review, but I feel the moral obligation after seeing the Vet's reaction upon discovering the ulcers to share Jaxon's condition following his grooming appointment at Dee-O-Gee, in hopes that this doesn't happen to another pet. (For those of you who are saddened by this picture, rest assured that we are seeing to it that Jaxon has as full a recovery as medically possible. He is currently on antibiotics via an eye lubricant, and will be having his ulcers examined in two more days to check for growth/shrinkage/severity). -In anticipation of the business' response to this review, apart from Jaxon's well being, our highest hope in discussing this situation with you was that we would get the feeling that your first priority is the welfare of the animals under your care, both during and after. That just is not the...
