Iâve been here three times. I come here after a class in Whitefish that ends at 7:00 pm. I like the place - the coffee is good and itâs nice to unwind in. This is also one of the few cafĂ©s that is open in the area in the evening. I showed up around 7:25 pm because of my class the first two times and it wasnât a problem. Yeah, they were getting ready to close down, and the pastries were put away, but the cafĂ© was still open with people in it and they were serving. You could still sit and get service right up to 8:00 pm.
The last time though I got there just before 7:30 and they were already dumping out all the coffee. I literally stopped the barista as she was pouring the coffee down the sink and asked if I could have a cup. So I paid for that and a toasted bagel with cream cheese. But they were definitely closing down as fast as they could, and by 7:45 they had put up the chairs. So the picture is that I was looking forward to a half an hour chilling out, they sold me food, I sat down, but was soon surrounded by chairs up on tables. Add to this that I like the food, but itâs not cheap. So I felt ripped off sitting in a cafe that was fully closed 15 minutes early - tossed what was left of my coffee in the garbage and left.
If this café is not going to be fully open to 8 PM, it needs to revise its...
Read moreThe lack of customer service is astounding. Iâve heard some pretty bad things about sable but I decided to give it a try anyways. My wife and I walked in and the place is cute and modern. That was the only positive part of the experience. The blonde gal at the counter was rude and had a terrible attitude. The gal that handed us our drinks was rude as well. We were not greeted or spoken to at the counter either. The baristas gathered by the window and used phones and talked instead of attending to the needs of the customers. Our drinks had no flavor and the coffee tasted burnt. Sad that a local joint doesnât care to put in the effort to meet other businesses in the valley. They will probably go under within the next year. We will...
Read moreNestled in the heart of Godâs country Montana is a delightful coffee shop. I have been searching for a coffee shop in Kalispell that is easily accessible, comfortable to sit and work in, have kind helpful staff and provide exquisite tasting coffee and food; mission accomplished. Sable Coffee is a single, non franchised, establishment that is spacious and displays a âMontana elegantâ atmosphere. As soon as I was greeted by the Sable staff they were warm and helpful in guiding me to the perfect treats. Kalispell, Montana has no shortage of coffee haunts, but I believe Sable sets itself apart with its clean, high quality facility, and superb coffee. I look forward to many more experiences like this at Sable. I highly...
