Micheal's is an all around great craft store. It is much smaller than Hobby Lobby or JoAnn's. That is mainly because they DO NOT carry fabric. However, they have good prices (Especially!!! If you have a coupon- which you can get on the website and use the coupon directly off your phone, even if you're not on the mailing list) and a good selection. I usually prefer to go here between the three craft stores mainly because I feel that their drawing and painting selection is similar to Hobby Lobby but way better than JoAnn's, and that's just my personal interest. Also I feel like it is easier to be in and out of this store because of the size compared to Hobby Lobby. I can be in and out a lot faster. Micheal's does carry drawing and painting supplies, as already mentioned, yarn, paper crafting, beads, faux floral arrangement materials, framing services, wood crafts, kids crafts, baking/ cake decorating supplies and home decor to give you a general idea of...

This store is suitable for basic crafts but doesn't feel like it is on trend with current styles. For it's size, I hoped it could turn over more products in order to keep things exciting. The last couple of times I was in the store, it looked the same except for switching out a small strip from Christmas to Valentine's Day. I am also interested in a variety of yarns and do not find that this store has what I need.
