Rosauers — Local services in Kalispell

I mostly started going here for the deli with the sidewinder fries, but I've sampled some of their other stuff and it's always delicious. There is a lot of quality grocery delis in the valley, which I still frequent depending on proximity but Rosauer's deli has become my favorite, as the consistency of the food is a little better than everywhere else, but the flavor is also, and if you're like me and Billy Bob Thornton's character from "Sling Blade" you know the importance of a properly cooked and crisped fried tater, and it's almost always perfect here.

Always a pleasure interacting with the gals at the deli, and the young gentleman too! I've gotten some great recommendations and samples and always a pleasant interaction.

I was also walking by the seafood or meat area one day, and the young gal behind the counter went out of her way to say something nice to another shopper passing by and that made my day. Wayne Dyer once had a cool piece of information about witnessing a random act of kindness; he said that while a random act of kindness is uplifting for both the person giving it and the recipient; a person witnessing the interaction actually is the most uplifted of all three.

The rest of the store is super clean and everything is laid out so nice, and there is always some kind of deals going on (bulk sale was great last weekend).

Also it's cool they have the "Huckleberries Natural Market" and water...

Best shopping in Kalispell! Cashier took me in his line as soon as his was empty🤗👍. Pharmacy always helpful with questions & great mannerisms. Bakery foods are wonderful 😋. Deli is awful. Always wait as the workers glance at the customers,but indeed decide to chat to each other & ignore customers. Blackforest ham is nevere as marked,it's always honey ham passed off as Blackforest!But as it is, the real cost per pound as Blackforest😲😖. Bad for their reputation of what "used to be a delightful & delicious deli department"🤷🏼‍♀️. Now my family is forced to go to other deli's to finish our shopping,which in all likelihood will lead to doing "all shopping at another store instead of multi stores". Tonight, I was really disappointed by the service in the deli. It was about 5:30-6:00 when I approached the counter, I was the only customer. One employee was at the meat slicer with her back to me and another appeared to be wandering around aimlessly around the cash register and hot case. After a couple minutes, I called out "hello" to get someone's attention but nothing. An employee from the bakery came over made eye contact with me and started talking to the person at the slicer. It wasn't until a third deli employee came out of the back, looked around, went to the hot case, then saw me standing there and asked if he could help. I got my one item, thanked him and left.
