Went into the Kalispell Home Depot to buy flooring and have it installed. We very optimistic when we found vinyl flooring that matched our great room flooring. Little did we know this would be the high point of our journey using the Kalispell Home Depot for remodeling work. The HD representative came out and took all the required measurements for the install and we were on our way. My wife went into the store, picked out he flooring and signed the invoice to get the product ordered and the installation scheduled. The day the installation was supposed to start we got a call from a HD rep stating they had made a $900 mistake on the invoice and we had to pay it for the work to start. STRIKE ONE. The sub contractor that was hired, from Home Solutions, called the morning he was scheduled to start the work and said he would be late. No show, no call, nothing! STRIKE TWO. He finally shows up the next day around noon with his helper and then leaves the helper to start the job. Yeah, the project has started. On the third day of the install they start to work on the stairs. They finished the stairs and leave stating they will be back in the morning to finish. It's then we notice that 4 or 5 stairs have a big gap on one side or the other where the flooring slat was cut incorrectly. It was very visible and frustrating that they tried to get out of making it right. I know nothing about flooring and could see it the first time I looked at it. There is not way they did not see that shoddy workmanship. We walked through the bedrooms and hallways to inspect the rest of the work. There were multiple piece of trim not nailed in place and the floor vent covers would not fit back in their holes because they miss cut the flooring (again) and it did not match the actual shape of the vent hole. A week after the job was supposedly done we noticed one of the stairs was missing the glue to hold it in place. STRIKE THREE. We try for the next week to get anyone from Home Solutions to return our calls and/or send someone out to fix the problems but no luck. Speaking with Taylor from Home Solutions she promised to call me back within the hour to schedule time to fix the bad quality of their work. CRICKETS! no call back. When my wife first called and spoke with Taylor she guaranteed she was the person that could get this resolved for us. HA. I finally have to go into HD to try and get the matter resolved and they listened to my story and then said "well it's Friday so nothing will happen until next week. STRIKE FOUR. Oh wait there are not four strikes in baseball but there are four strikes if you pay HD to perform any contract work for you. My advice, steer clear of HD sub...
Read moreOur washer and dryer unit gave out so we came here to get a new unit. My parents were in town and since we’d just had our first baby, they helped us out and bought the new units for us on July 6th. We got a pair that can be side by side but also stacked. We were not told, nor was there any indication that we needed a stack kit in order for it to be installed stacked, nor that this kit didn’t come with the units. Miscommunication number 1. We were told a delivery date of the 19th. Come the 19th, Temco Logistics delivery service works with Home Depot, they came to deliver and install our units. Only then did we find out that we need a stack kit and that there was no stack kit with the units. So, they couldn’t install our machines. And Temco took the machines back to the warehouse instead of leaving them with us. Mistake number 2. We called Home Depot and they said they couldn’t get the stack kit until the 31st. So we went to Fred’s Appliance in Kalispell and bought the correct stack kit from them, as they had it in stock. Now with the part we needed for installation, we called Home Depot again, only to be told it still couldn’t be done until the 31st. I called Temco to see if there was any way it could be sooner, as we’ve already been waiting two weeks, and we have a newborn. I was told the 30th, a single day sooner. So we still had to wait another week and a half. Come the 30th, I called Temco to see what time delivery would be so I could make sure I was home. I was told there was a “glitch in the system” that bumped things back to the 31st. It is now the 31st. Temco delivery guys come by 9:45am. Only to be told that the only thing they were told was that they needed to install the stack kit, not that we don’t have the machines, so they didn’t have the machines with them. Miscommunication number 3. I got a call about 30 minutes later from a supervisor. I explained the whole situation from start to finish. He told me the machines certainly should have stayed with us, and that Home Depot made the mistake of today’s confusion. They wrote down that a mere service was needed, which translated to the delivery company that only the stack kit needed to be installed. Not that the machines were brought back to the warehouse and we don’t have them. It has now been a month, and I was told today that we won’t be getting our machines brought and fully installed until tomorrow, the 1st. Needless to say we won’t be purchasing any more appliances from Home Depot any time soon, this whole situation has been absolutely ridiculous and extremely...
Read moreDo not order anything to be delivered from Home Depot Kalispell! Last year I ordered a lot of materials to build a new deck for our home. The first delivery came on time, but I was shorted several boards. Several others were in very bad shape and had to return them. After 3 tries I finally received what I needed, but this was over a span of almost 4 weeks.
This year I ordered lattice and other boards to add to the deck. I ordered WOOD redwood lattice and they sent me the plastic BROWN lattice which is not what I asked for. I tried calling several times, but always got hung up on. I had to go to the store at the pro desk to ask when I'll be receiving the proper lattice. Twice. They promised to deliver them, but I never received a phone call and finally, after getting in touch with the manager, it turns out they had been out of stock. The first time they promised to deliver the proper lattice, it never arrived and no phone call. The second time they were supposed to deliver on a Wednesday, again, no delivery and no call. Finally, the manager called Friday, said they still don't have it in stock and won't be able to deliver it. I cancelled the order.
It is appalling that with a simple request of materials they repeatedly refuse to DO THEIR JOB. When I spoke to the reps at the pro desk, he was frustrated because this is apparently a constant problem.
Managers at Home Depot. You obviously don't seem to care about doing your jobs. It's not rocket science. If this was a one off, I can see once in awhile having issues, but this is a constant problem with Home Depot. Their wood is also consistently warped, cracked or just in poor quality. I do NOT endorse using Home Depot for your...
