Sooo disappointed in Best Buy. My husband was one of their first employees in kalispell. Even won an actual car working for them years ago. So I know how the service should be. If I could give them zero stars I would. There customer service is non existent, their knowledge is no longer there, their drive to help customers is completely gone. Their drive to be competitive is gone and they couldnāt careless if they made a sale or not. They literally walked off talking to other employees a few times while helping us to give them Snapchat information. Even the manager left us because he āneededā to make himself available even though no one needed him at that moment. We went there a few weeks ago to surprise our kiddo with a new stereo in his first car. Waited for it to open. Asked for help 4 TIMES and waited for over an hour in store!!! We were ready to buy at that moment but the stereo was locked. And we waited an hour for it to open to get it and put it in. No help. Notta. Nothing. So we left. Decided maybe another time. Yesterday we went back to compare a 75ā TV from Costco. I stayed up hours the night before researching LG vs Samsung vs QNed vs Qled vs Nano cell vs OLed so I really already knew what the difference was but my husband wanted Best Buyās opinion because he knows that they have to learn this stuff. I had my heart set on LG QNED because of price. They talked him into a Samsung UHD. How? It was less money than what I wanted, not the brand I wanted and UHD is not as good as QNed. So we paused and got my hubby back on my side and their price was the same as Costco. So because I know how selling tvs work there because my husband sold tvs there for a few years back in the day I said letās see what deal they can give us vs Costco. $1500 at both places. They wouldnāt give us a better deal even though at least at Costco I get points at the end of the year, and I got a 5 year protection plan for FREE!!! Best Buy offered us 19 days return policy š that was it. They donāt care anymore. Best Buy has always had a special place in our heart because of the candy orange 2006 Energizer Dodge Charger we won through it. Because my husband was a hard working caring GOOD salesman for Best Buy and he won it days before our first child was born. Energizer sponsored the car and Best Buy paid the taxes on this win. It was absolutely amazing. But Iām so sad to see this company go so down hill. We wonāt be back to purchase the car stereo like we planned. Instead weāll be going somewhere locally owned....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHaving been a long standing Best Buy customer who has spent tens of thousands of dollars in their store; I recently purchased a GPU. Needless to say this has been a very volatile market lately so I decided to purchase from a reputable store that I have done a lot of business with. It was less expensive elsewhere, but local service goes a long ways and I'd rather support them than the online giants. Within 30 days the price drops a couple hundred dollars on BB site, more on others. I reach out to Best Buy to inquire about price matching my recent purchase (off their own site, not even someone else). I am given a frank, we have a 14 day return/price match policy. Wait, what? I don't know of any other company that I've done business with that offers that short of a window. Amazon, Newegg, B&H, the list goes on; all offer a 30 day policy. "You should have purchased the upgraded membership". I'm sorry, I didn't realize I had to pay additional money, just to be able to get a return policy that matched every other retailer. So anyone who is considering purchasing anything; please be very wary. Shame on me, for not digging into it further and realizing this. I think what's even more disappointing is the fact that I literally have been frequenting BB for the past 30 plus years, and I've never asked for a price match; during or after the sale. The first time I reach out, more out of principle than anything, and I'm told to pound sand. Fair enough, you've lost a customer for life. I'm sure that math works out. Hopefully no one else makes the same mistake.
I also appreciate their insincere automated response to negative reviews, alluding to the fact they are actually interested in addressing customer concerns. After another 30 minutes of my life wasted, regurgitating the same information, only to arrive at the same result; it's clearly evident BB cares more about the bottom line (which is ironic when you do the math on the profit companies make on loyal customers) then they do...

On May 27th, 2025 at 10:00 AM, I went to the Best Buy in Kalispell, MT after calling ahead and being told I could walk in for service on my Mac Mini. I spent money on a taxi to get there, expecting the basic level of professionalism youād think a national brand like Best Buy could provide.
Instead, I was greeted by Tim from Geek Squad, who immediately spoke to me with an annoyed, dismissive tone and told me I needed an appointment. No apology. No empathy. Just, āIām all by myself right now,ā like that was my problem.
Then came Heath, the real star of the Geek Squad disaster show. As he started checking me in, I calmly mentioned I had taken a taxi and had been told walk-ins were allowed, and that Timās tone was uncalled for. Heath's response? He flat-out refused to take my appointment, told me I could āgo somewhere else,ā and accused me of being rudeāfor politely expressing frustration. When I asked how I was being rude, he said, āIāll take your appointment, but you need to be friendly when you come back.ā
Excuse me?
I didnāt yell, I didnāt swear, I didnāt cause a scene. But I was gaslit, publicly dismissed, and treated like a problem for simply explaining their own failure to communicate.
This is some of the worst customer service Iāve ever experienced, and I say that as someone who was just trying to get basic help. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic human decency from these two employeesāespecially Heathāis unacceptable.
If you value your time, your money, or your dignity, avoid the Kalispell Best Buy Geek Squad...
