The only reason I am not rating this place a 1 or 0 is because my food tasted good and my direct server was decent. Decent, not great. Took quite awhile to get drinks and at the end the bill and she really didn't stop by our table to see how it was but that I could handle. What made this by far my worst food experience in the Valley was that we were seated in this freezing cold building right next to a servers station. Normally not an issue. However, today while we were in there was a ton of gossiping going on as well as bad talking co-workers while they were rolling silverware. This was slightly annoying since I wanted to eat in peace but it was fine I had no comments to that as I know people gossip. I wish they would have the decency to not do it while we were sitting right there but no problem. Then a family comes in with a smaller child and while they are waiting for the greater to even show up and great them after about 5 minutes their child starts to cry a little bit. Under 3 years old for sure. At this point the servers actually said "oh please not my sectoon, not my table, please not me. I feel bad for whoever gets stuck with that table" . At that point I am getting pretty irritated, as I do have children and used to work in restaurants managing. To me its incredibly simple to see the child is hungry just get him something to snack on because you are all so slow at greating tables, no need to be rude. Then one of the other servers comes over talking all about how something they are using expired in June of 2017, just yelling all about it and laughing. I don't believe the item was a food item more like baggies or sticky notes. Still I found it incredibly unprofessional and tactless. We will not go back and as I have children and saw how those servers reacted to that family, as well as offering terrible service and the manager not caring a single bit what...
Read moreI am used to having a nice family experience with this chain. Unfortunately, tonight was a series of disappointments. It took roughly 15 minutes after being seated to be approached for drinks service, and another 20 or so to have our orders taken. I shook it off, as there didn't seem to be many people working and we have all had one of those days. What really let me down was after we ordered. My wife noticed our food sitting on the outgoing area and we sat and watched it get cold for another 15 minutes at least. The cook finally flagged the waitress and she said she would get it... and didn't. Finally the host had to go tell her again to get it. We watched her go get the food and take it into a corner and it appeared as though she put it in a microwave for a minute or so(I can't for certain say that's what happened but that is certainly how it appeared from our seat in the restaurant). She then brought the food and it was still quite cold. The garnishes were all wilted and sad looking from being reheated. I again tried to shake it off, but I started eating my omelette and noticed the ingredient the omelette was named for (poblano pepper) was completely missing from it. The waitress never came back to ask how the food was so I had to flag down the host and ask if he could get me some of the peppers that were supposed to be on it. He was actually quite helpful and got them right away so I'm thankful for that (hence two stars instead of 1). We never saw the waitress again until the bill came... I hope this review motivates this place to turn things around, because I normally enjoy eating there and would like to have the happy experience my family and I are used...
Read moreunable to order items off of the menu…. very disappointing.
Page 5 of the menu under house favorites try and order any of those things, but especially the house scramble and watch the staff try and explain to you how that’s on the menu but you’re unable to order it because they are out of inventory, which is strange because the ingredients are “ eggs scrambled with chopped hickory smoked bacon, and Jack and cheddar cheese served with crispy hashbrowns” For an advertised price of seven dollars
could not get silverware and there’s flies everywhere and everything is sticky. Disgusting.
when I asked about if I could order a regular two egg scramble and add in the bacon and the cheese and a side of hashbrowns they were able to put all that together, but it was going to be $17.50
so just to be clear, the advertise price was seven dollars and they wouldn’t sell it to me without it being $17.50 more than 100% markup for the advertise price will not be coming back to IHOP ever again.
it’s one thing to have crappy food. It’s entirely different thing to be ripping off your customers for that...
