I called in the other day to replace my controller that I had a warranty on and the lady over the phone was quite pleasant and helpful giving me all the information I needed to be in and out quickly.
Later on in the day I got to the store and it was, to put it simply, chaotic. Their internet was down and it was causing quite the issue. The main problem I had was when I entered I was informed their internet was down but not what that entailed, so I stood near the counter for about eleven minutes waiting to be allowed to replace my controller.
The entire time one associate was operating one register (while also on the phone with the internet company) and the other two were just twirling their thumbs behind the counter. Not assisting the other clerk or any of the customers. I felt rather bad for the cashier as, who I assume to be the manager, stood there saying they knew the answer to the internet problem but did nothing to solve any issues.
To add on top of this after the 10 minutes I stood there I was given an unpleasant look by the aforementioned supposed manager and told I could have checked out if I was ready to do so. The attitude given was to put it frankly very unpleasant and condescending. Also they didn't even offer to check me out, but instead dumped that responsibility on the associate who was: On the phone with the internet company, issuing another refund, and operating the other cash register.
If I didn't have warranties through this location I would not return. However, c'est la vie. I hope these issues are resolved by the next time I go to this location and I can update...
Read moreBesides the fact that this company fires their employees the same time they’re about to clock in for a shift (see any news article on their magazine shutdown), this particular location has lied to employees about when they will be receiving their pay multiple times. I know one former employee here who was paid $13 an hour and had to train the current GM(Chad)with no compensation for it. The management kept saying different dates that were all incorrect and it turned out the check was mailed anyway!! The DM(Craig)didn’t tell them about any of this. Not even when they refused to work until they received their pay after the 2nd time they lied. No wonder they can’t keep employees or GMs or even DMs! They are not treated right. They shove their membership down your throat at every possible interaction as well and it’s super uncomfortable. It’s nostalgic to shop there but not worth it at this point. What a sad state this company has fallen into. I’ll be taking my business to local shops that pay and treat their employees better. This may all technically be legal for them to do but...
Read moreBought a used series X for Christmas. They sold it to me with an Xbox one controller, not series x, that has to be messed with Everytime I try and use it because it'll connect for less than a minute before I get the unconnected controller message. Second console I've purchased used from GameStop and second console to have issues because it worked the 5 minutes for the console to be tested. This is also not a new issue. I bought the console about a month ago and the it had issues connecting the controller right from the start. Called the store and got the typical script, "bring it in and we can look at it and if it doesn't work we can trade it in for another at a discounted price." After some research online I figured out you need to hard reset the console and controller, which works for only a short time, and that I bought a used Xbox Series X with an Xbox one controller. Explains the problem when finding out I was sold a used controller from the previous...
