Frustrating experience with getting golf grips. Nice guy doing the grips but the management made a really bad choice in fixing a problem. I had 7 replaced, pointed to the grip I wanted not realizing there were multiple sizes in the grip. Went up and paid $100. When he finished all 6 he handed me one and I realized it was the wrong size. The golf guy was nice and went and asked the manger if he would do anything to discount the “redo” to the right grips. Manager did nothing. I had to rebuy to pay full price for another set plus the labor to put them on again. All the manager needed to do is offer me a slight discount or free labor which cost him nothing. Bad customer service. I’ll try to shop anywhere but here because of that small decision to not do one thing to help.
They could fixed at several points. 1) look at my grip size before replacing them all to make sure the sizes aligned. 2) could have just mentioned this grip came into different sizes 3) could have let me try the first one before replaces all as a safety check 4) after missing all those steps a discount or gift card of some kind would have been a nice gesture. Instead i paid $200 for 7 regrips and I’m not going back if I...
Read moreGeez this place is overpriced! If you're looking for a good price, check out Academy Sports in Concord, NC. Dick's has a LOT of athletic and athliesure wear and name brands to choose from. If the smell of rubber (like the smell of a gym minus sweaty bodies) bothers you, you may not enjoy this store's atmosphere, true of most sporting goods stores. I'm not a gym rat, nor am I any form of athlete (I'm a geek and physically disabled - let's call a spade a spade), so I will be the first to admit that if you're looking to compare quality and variety of sporting goods equipment, read the other reviews. Dick's may have some nicer quality items than other sporting goods stores, and if you're into archery or fishing or golf, they seem to have a decent section for those sports. If you want to spend your money on very good quality camping equipment and aren't afraid to blow bucks, consider REI where there's a much greater selection of camping gear and backpacks, etc, and compare...
Read moreI always feel like I'm inconveniencing someone who works there every time I visit this location. Today I was visited to find a birthday gift for my fiance. I was going to talk to someone in the hunting section about getting him a bow. Lo and behold, there is no hunting section even though they sell bows on their website. Or maybe there is, idk I couldn't find an employee to ask. Anyways, then I figured maybe I'd get him a new driver. My budget was around $200 so I could've gotten him a really nice one but couldn't find the leftys and didn't have time for the guy in the golf department to finish his conversation with the other employee he was talking to. I wandered around for about 5-10 minutes and then just decided to leave and go to bass pro shops instead. I hate going to the mall but at least they don't...
