I was referred to Home Sense from a fellow designer. She raved about their expansive home design and furniture pieces, so I decided to go check it out.
Upon entering the store, I was shooting some video for content and hoping to send a few videos for a client I was also shopping for.
I was immediately bombarded at the door by the store manager who informed me that I was prohibited from shooting video in the store. I was completely embarrassed from this abrupt approach entering the store.
There was absolutely NO signage on the front entrance door informing customers that video was not allowed in the store. They should have a sign informing customers of this store policy upon entering.
I was told that I would need to sign a form/waiver provided via TJ Maxx in order to film inside the store. I was also informed that I was only allowed to take photos, but no video because the store cameras would be āwatching me.ā
Outside of this experience, the store offers some very unique items moderately priced. The store was well-organized and everything was easy to find.
There were also great selections for area rugs, accent chairs, lighting and other home decor items.
Overall, itās an elevated home design store with very...

Yesterday was my second time visiting this store. I popped in for the first time around Christmas to see what the hype was about. However, this time I actually went in to shop. After taking my time and browsing around the store, I found a vase I liked but wanted to see it on a table - you know the same kind of surface one might have at home.
There had been two men working around the store during my time browsing. I assumed they might be visual merchandisers as that appeared to be the type of tasks they were completing.
As I walked towards a wooden table, one of the men abruptly stops whatās heās doing and says, āDONāT PUT THAT VASE ON THEREā I was caught so off guard that Iām sure the look on my face was pure bewilderment. He then points to a rolling stock cart and says, āYou can look at it on there.ā
Umm.. the last time I checked this wasnāt Restoration Hardware. Needless to say, I sat the vase and the rest of the items I was planning to buy down on that cart, walked out the store, and headed on down the road to the less bougie sister - HomeGoods - where they donāt hire...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot a 5 star review unfortunately! I bought a rug last week and Isaiah helped me out with the whole process a super nice guy unfortunately the colors of the rug that I chose did not look good in my home. Isaiah told me that I could come exchange it if it didnāt work out and I did that today with the intentions of getting one that did work out. Thatās where I encountered Angela a cashier her whole attitude towards my transaction was completely awful. No customer service at all. She should really get some customer service training from someone like Isaiah. I almost didnāt complete my transaction tonight because of my unfortunate encounter with her, but I saw Isaiah and my what couldāve almost been a walking out of the store and never coming back turned back into a sale. Iām so happy he helped me out with choosing a new option for my home...
