L&L Hawaiian Grill — Restaurant in Kannapolis

Well, where do I begin😅?! I ABSOLUTELY LOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE L&L Hawaiian Grill😍🌴🌺🌈☀️!!!!!!

I have had the distinct pleasure and best experience eating at L&L so many times, I lost count, lol😂. I and/or my family have dined in, ordered take out, had L&L at a catered event and thankfully I/we have NEVER had a bad, dull or unpleasant experience, thank the Lord 🙌🏾🙃🤩!!

First, the atmosphere is always clean and serene😙!!! The ambience there is amazingly pleasant, very welcoming, happy, comfy, relaxed, liberating, etc😌. I haven't been to Hawaii yet, but baybee😝, L&L's ambience truly offers and invites an Aloha spirit and presence🕊️🌈☀️.

Second, the service is always cheerful😃🎉!!! The young man, Evan, at the counter never disappoints! Since I'm a foodie😄, it can be challenging to choose a dish because there are SO MANY mouth watering options🤤. Evan is patient, very helpful (when I need a recommendation on a menu item), knowledgeable, professional, personable, kind, and always provides exceptional service!!

Third, the food is scrumdeliumptious😋!!!! I can honestly tell you the quality of the food is on point. I, as well as my family, are always full and satisfied after eating their food! We always have food left over to eat later. The food is beautifully and artistically seasoned with love and honor and oh so savory🔥!! OMG, whether it's the beef, chicken, ribs, pork, cheeseburger, Aloha burger, seafood, any of the bowls, salad, any of the combinations and with the macaroni salad, yuuuummmmm and sheeesssshhhh😋😋😋, I'm telling you, it's heavenly💚😇🩵!!!

I will be visiting L&L again, hopefully this week if time permits😝!! I am thinking I'll order the loco moco this time💭!!!! Anyway, I would highly recommend this restaurant to EVERYONE!! The food speaks for itself, the prices are phenomenal, the portion sizes are plentiful and the food is not fast...fast...

As someone who has spent some time in Hawaii, I was hopeful when I finally decided to try L&L.

And boy did they PRESENT! My wife had the Beef Bowl, flavorful Beef with delicious veggies and rice. It comes with a tangy sauce you drizzle over the beef. Abd as you enjoy the entree, the veggies beneath it absorb all the tangy Juicy flavors. Turning them into a dessert.

As for me, I had the Kalbi Beef plate. Absolutely delicious, chew slowly, if you've never had Flanken Ribs before, sometimes tiny bone shards come off the ribs. So understand this is natural and nothing against L&L that's just what happens when you make damn good Kalbi Flanken Ribs.. They are perfectly seasoned, Juicy, and perfectly grilled. I recommend meat scissors to separate the flags of beef, or just grab on to the ribs and sink your face into them.

The rice is perfectly made, and the macaroni salad is nothing you've had before. Take a little salad, a little rice. And let it go to work for you. It'll send you over.

To finish this off, I also got the katsu fried chicken, forgive me if I typed wrong. The crispy breading is reminiscent of the Japanese fried chicken filets. It's sliced for you and comes with rice and macaroni salad. It's perfect, and comes with a dipping sauce, that is perfect with the rice or just for dipping the chicken.

Lastly, their menu is authentic and vibrant with something for everyone. I am grateful they brought true Hawaiian/polynesian food right to the Carolinas.

I can't wait to try the Poke Bowl, and next time I'm getting the Hawaiian Pulled Pork.

I'll be going at least once a month if not more.

About as honest as I can be. Just the food is 5/5. Delicious and portions are so good. But as of July 2023, the staff is SEVERELY lacking in training. The customer service itself is not bad. They are nice but untrained.

The cashier can only ring people up and the kitchen folk can only handle 2 orders at a time. I can tell they cook fresh but it was the whole operation that made my last visit so bad. The cashier could only handle the visitors, orders piled up on counters, and he had ZERO intentions of bagging things up, there was a lady that kinda popped in and out to bag up orders and looked flustered looking through orders. Then when she did bag up orders she put them on the counter for customers to pickup, she left the scene completely. To make it all worse, when the cashier “finally” took care of the 2 customers in line, he backed up and landed in the counter and proceeded to take a drink break while 3 orders were sitting on the counter and another order next to him was waiting to be bagged. It was so bad it was laughable!! 40 minutes to get my to go order! Not exaggerating about the time wait and yes this was my second visit and it was THE EXACT same thing.

Still, cashier was nice but again clueless about how the front needs to be run. I walked up, asked if the bag I was holding was mine, and he said yes. Turns out after I got home, we got a free grill plate. That’s how bad that was. Thanks.

Again, just the food is truly a 5/5 and I recommend everyone try this place. Just order your food ahead of time, go do your shopping at target, take your time, and pick it up after you’re done shopping and “maybe” your food will be ready when...
