Mattress Firm Outlet - Afton Ridge — Hotel in Kannapolis

I am not one to post reviews but I hope someone will read this and it will help them have a better experience.

I have never experienced worse customer service than this location. Bought a soft clearance mattress of the “dream” mattress that we wanted through Phil who is the store manager. Whenever the mattress was delivered - it was firm. Somehow the labeling was messed up in their system. The solution given to us by Phil was to wait our 120 day trial for another one to be returned to switch the firm out with.

Obviously sleeping on an uncomfortable mattress while holding hope someone else will return it was NOT something do-able for us. When we came back - he agreed to sell us a brand new one for $500 more than what was paid for the clearance one. While we did not want to pay more - it was an immediate solution and better than sleeping on the mattress we did not want.

During this process - we got an adjustable base as well. Whenever that was delivered - there were no headboard brackets with the base (that we were told would come with). They gave us “extras” from the store that were the wrong size. Again we were told by Phil to contact the manufacturer to see why. Turns out - it did not come with the base. We had to pay over $100 to get them delivered to us to be able to attach the headboard.

The icing on the cake with this whole process was that when we paid the extra $500 - we were told that it would be put on our card that had the 5 yrs 0% interest. We were charged interest on this $500 and when we called synchrony bank - we were told it had to be done by the store in the first 60 days. Turns out Phil didn’t take care of it like he said he did. We had to pay $350 out of pocket to make sure we didn’t accrue interest.

Basically we’ve paid almost an extra $1000 along the way from the mistakes of the store manager. To say I will never ever buy another mattress from here is an understatement. Save yourself the time, heartache, extra money, phone calls, etc. and go somewhere else. I promise you will have a...

My husband and I recently went to the Mattress firm in the Afton Ridge location and was beyond pleased with the experience, that had a lot to do with Brendan who was working that morning. We arrived before the store was open, and he opened up a as soon as he got there to take care of us. He had an awesome attitude with us throughout the whole process, even after dealing with my salesman of a husband haha!! He listen to our likes and dislikes and helped us find the bed that was right for us. Mattress shopping has always been a miserable experience or me, but after dealing with Brendan and mattress firm you better believe I will go back if I ever need anything, or sending friends/family there way. We have slept in our new bed for 2 nights now, and both of us and the dog have slept like babies!! We love our new bed, and could not be happier. The customer service at this Mattress Firm location was impeccable! Most Mattress Firm stores are like this, but this one was personal! I called and came in 30 mins before their COB, to purchase a box spring for my bed. The manager, Doel, worked so diligently with us, and kindly let me know that it was illegal to drive with the box spring on top of my small SUV without bike racks... as a 8-month pregnant lady, I was happy he told but was determined to get the box spring home that day. Long story short, Doel, helped us find a local truck rental, and stayed almost 2 hours past their closing time to make sure we were able to drop the box spring at my house safely! Doel was really amazing and personable! Please please only shop here for mattresses and their accessories.
