Ok on December 8th 2023 my husband took me to Kay’s Jewelers to purchase me a white gold chocolate diamond ring… we found the one we wanted, we purchased it and was told it would be back in time for Christmas, well guess what it wasn’t, so I reach out to them to see why it wasn’t back, then I was told it would be back on the 13 th of January cause they said it had to be sent to Le Vian to be sized cause of the warranty on ring…. Well ok I was ok with that, well fast forward to the 13th no ring again, then I was told that Le Vian was sending it back cause they don’t like sizing up rings they like to make them in your size, well back and forth me and my husband reached out to them and was being told different stuff each time… The slogan of Kay’s is that it begins with a kiss…. Yeah a kiss of lies, anyway reached out again a week later they say my ring was sent out to be sized at LeVian, yeah after being told a week before that LeVian was sending it back, I was so upset at this point…. Fast forward a few days later and my husband calls them and he is told that it was in the process of being sized with LeVian…. Yep he sure was told that… so I got on phone and said y’all told me that LeVian was not going to size it and was sending it back over a week ago… I tell them I need the manager…. So the next day the manager reaches out to us and says my ring was sent out to their company to be sized… so it’s been lies after lies….
Fast forward to February 1st my husband calls them and says we want our money back… so we are transferred to management which tells us the ring will be here but 530 on that day... Well they call later that afternoon and say my ring is here…. So I go the next day to pickup my ring… Y’all it was not the ring I ordered. It looked so different. It was definitely not the same ring. Chocolate diamond ring is chocolate color. This looked like a sand color. Totally upset and wanted my money back…. Well I was told they couldn’t refund my money cause it’s been too long since I purchased it… Well you can imagine how I was feeling by this time….
I sit and wait and finally the manager says how can I help you and I tell her the problem and she says it’s the lighting…. No ma’am it’s not the lighting and I want my money back…. So she says she has will call DM to see what to do…. She is gone a few minutes and comes back and says they will refund my money since they had it the whole time, I will never shop with this company again! We bought my wedding set from Kay’s and the day I went to pick it up a diamond fell out and they had to fix it before my wedding. Fast forward and in a 10 yr span, I’ve had to take my ring in so many times to get it fixed due to diamonds falling out. It got so bad that they finally replaced the ring with a new one. However the issue has only continued. Last year one of the workers in the store told me that my ring wasn’t for everyday wear. Excuse me? It’s my wedding rings. For thousands of dollars it shouldn’t be falling apart so easy and who doesn’t wear their wedding rings everyday? I was due for inspection in January however I just had a baby and could not get by the store to have inspection completed so I was 3 months behind. I’m now missing two diamonds again and they want me to pay $50 to fix it and then trade it in because the shop isn’t going to keep fixing it. I absolutely refuse to pay anymore money for my ring or put any money towards a trade in when I have had nothing but problems with my ring and Kay Jewelers. After 10 years of dealing with this I took my ring back home still missing diamonds and will never return to that store or buy from Kay’s again. I will not wear my ring anymore and my husband has now said we will go somewhere else and buy me a new set. Thousands of money down the drain. What should be one of my most valued possessions now just makes me mad when I look at it. Pathetic customer service. Read moreThis was the best experience by far! I got engaged on 4/17/2021 and the future husband got the wrong size :( He originally made the purchase at Northlake Mall. Being that was not close to me whats so ever I took it to get sized at Concord Mills on 4/18/2021. I finally got it back 5/3/2021 and was so excited!! It was extremely loose fitting and i was so paranoid the diamond would come off.............it did on 5/10/2021 a week later!! I was so upset! I called Concord Mills and they told me to bring in and it was no big deal. WRONG!!! The lady that was "helping" me was extremely rude! It was around 6pm when i went in since i got off from work and went straight there! The girl did not even ask my name or any detail about an account she just said she couldn't help me and I needed to go where i purchased it from! I let her know it was further away to which she answered "its only a 15 min drive from here" I was super heartbroken! I called Afton Village since i did not want to drive all the way to Charlotte being that it was far from where I live. They let me know that information was wrong and they would be more than happy to help! Aimee and Kayla are the sweetest and made me so happy! I actually fly out of state Friday to originally show my parents my engagement ring and assured me they would do everything possible to get it beforehand, if not it would be the regular 2 weeks which i am fine with.
