Panda Express — Restaurant in Kannapolis

Normally, I love this place and I am a regular. Last night, a friend and I went for dinner. We stood in line for more than 20 minutes which tells me they were prioritizing drive through and online orders over in-person dining. When we finally got up to order, we were told they had no greens, meaning no green beans. Many of their dishes rely on green beans, which meant some of our favorite diet friendly dishes were unavailable. On top of that, no white rice. That would be another 20 minutes.This is not the first time I've experienced this. We left without ordering because the staff couldn't seem to solution the issues. It seems that either management has changed since they opened (the A team moved on to the next store opening?) or they can't handle...

Love the new Panda Express in Kannapolis -

One problem, though, with Google Maps, they were showing this location to be closed Sunday and Monday the 8th and 9th of September even though they're really open. I did try calling on the phone, and the phone rang 20 times, and nobody ever picked it up, so I don't know if they have the wrong phone number at this time in Google. We almost didn't come because it was a 35-minute drive and we didn't want to get there and find that no one was there, but since it's a brand new location we didn't understand how it would suddenly not be open on 2 days that it normally is open. First time at a Panda Express and we loved it. Luckily it was early afternoon so it wasn't packed but it was busy. Still the staff was really nice and answered my questions since I have food restrictions. Super friendly and helpful. We both got the 2 entree/1 side plate. I had the grilled Teriyaki chicken and mushroom chicken. Both were really good though the mushroom chicken needed a touch more chicken in it. It was still delicious. He had the same Teriyaki chicken plus black pepper chicken and it was good as well, we both had fried rice. You get a very generous portion. I brought over half mine home!
