The service with the employees was fine during my experience when I dropped my phone off to have the screen replaced on my S23 ULTRA. I picked the phone up the next day and the phone seemed to be working fine at that point. A couple days later, I attempted to use my GPS through the Maps App and that's when I noticed something wasn't right with my phone after the screen replacement. The app continously says GPS signal lost or Searching for GPS. In the year I've had this phone and even leading up to the day I dropped my phone off at U Break I Fix, I've never once had this issue. I'm not from the area and rely heavily on my GPS, almost on a daily basis and this has been extremely frustrating for me. I've updated the App, checked location settings, checked phone settings along with App settings and nothing seems to fix the issue. I un-installed the app and re-installed and the same issues are present. I called the store and brought my phone back to the store to have them check it. Upon arrival at the store, I was told that having the screen replaced doesn't have anything to do with the GPS. Their recommendation was to back everything up on my phone, factory reset and set the phone up as a new phone. That may all be true and could possibly fix the issue but that process isn't something that I'm completely comfortable with doing and would prefer to avoid. I'm not sure that will even fix the issues. I've also noticed that instead of my phone usually operating on 5GUW towers, since the screen replacement the phone seems to be using the 4GLTE and 5G Towers primarily and with only 1-3 bars typically. I was panicking as I have 182 GB of data stored on my phone that was NOT backed up and I had no way of transferring or accessing in its current state. I couldn’t afford to spend an enormous amount on repair or get a new phone. I came into the store on a Sunday evening about 40 minutes before closing and was greeted by Tim who absolutely saved the day. I’m not saying he’s Superman, but I’ve never seen them both in the same room together. Tim was friendly, efficient, and gave me the most economical options. I was pretty discouraged and knew there was high probability that I couldn’t get this fixed without spending more than I could afford as my phone was already almost falling apart. Tim completed an advanced diagnostic and managed to figure out the issue was a problem with my Apple face-ID. He disabled the plug in so that I could at least turn on and use the phone without having to spend almost $200 on a new screen. Stg his work uniform should include a cape! This man is out here saving lives one repair at a time 🥹 I have at least 6 years of my life stored on this phone that I couldn’t have gotten back without Tim’s help. After looking at the offer I went the same day on July20th 2022 for repairs While I placed my order for repair I ask the front desk whether offer is applicable to my repair or not, he politely replied when at the end of the service at the billing whatever offer you have we can put it in and will be applied to your bill. I being assured of the service and kindness from front desk person, came return to store to collect my ipad which looked good and I decided to again check on discount. To my surprise now front desk person said there is some issue they are not able to apply the coupon discount 20% and I need to pay the full amount. I explained the offer and said I gone to the email from ubreakifix and navigated to book a slot for repair from discount promotion only and to your store. Now front desk went back office repair people and discussed issue with them, another person walked in and said our store is not participating in the offer. And if I don't want to pay full amount then they threatened me to put the broken glass back on my ipad and if something happen to it then I will be responsible for it.
