Salon Laron — Local services in Kansas City

Had a scheduled appointment on January 5th. A historic winter storm was predicted to hit the city which began January 4th. I had already confirmed my appointment Thursday, January 2nd. I received another text message to confirm my appointment again January 4th. I responded to the text message and asked if there was a possibility that Laron may reschedule appointments due to the impending snow storm. He canceled my appointment. I did not ask for my appointment to be canceled. There is no weather cancellation policy listed on the website. I politely asked I could make an appointment for the following Sunday, January 12th. I was referred to the website and was told by Laron that he would let me know on the 12th. I never heard from him. I went to the website to book an appointment for the 22nd of January. He has since required customers to book an appointment with a credit card and will charge a $40 cancellation fee within 24 hours of an appointment. I am okay and understand why he newly implemented this policy. I tried to book a new appointment and was unsuccessful using my phone, laptop, and desktop. I believed it was my credit card so I used 3 different cards to try and book an appointment. Still, no luck. I called Laron and left a voice message explaining the above issue. I never received a return call from him. It is apparent and clear that my account has been blocked or deleted and he is no longer interested in my business which is why I was unable to schedule an appointment. I understand that business is business, but his lack of communication is unprofessional and a demonstration of poor business ethics. I have never missed any appointments since I began receiving services several years ago or had any issues prior to my asking about his inclement weather policy. Marie Cacioppo is amazing!! She hears and takes from my million and one indecisive ideas and delivers perfection EVERY TIME!!! She is amazing with color, cut and style. She also did an amazing deva curl cut on my daughter and I will never take her anywhere else again!! She definitely gave my baby's curls life again. To make a long story short, I am not from here & this is my first time visiting Kansas city. Monday I went to a salon for just a shampoo & blow dry & that did not turn out well so $40 WASTED. Thursday I went to Laron salon & I was sooooo satisfied. I was a walk in & he got me right in with Samantha, I am so pleased with my hair & I appreciate both of them working as a team on my natural hair.
