This was my first time at this Barber shop. I made an appt online. When I got there the stylist I made an appt with was not there. There was no one else there, so I donât know maybe there was a glitch in the system? Iâm not here to argue about that because I have no proof of who I made the appointment with. We check in and the stylist says he can take my 6yr old son back. So I follow them to the chair so I can explain what we want. After I explain I ask if I can stay there and am told they prefer us to stay in the waiting area. Never experienced this at any other barber. When I go back to the waiting area, I see a little paper sign saying that only the client and stylist can go beyond this point. Why then did we not consult in that area prior? Was the 6yr old supposed to tell you what they want? So I keep looking back to see what is going on and I see that things are not going well. I had to go back to explain something then I went back to the waiting area. When the haircut is done, heâs having my son look at his hair in the mirror so of course I have to go check because my son has no idea. I then ask him to fix some thing that Iâve already told him to do. I was definitely not happy with the cut. He never even asked me which side my sonâs hair is parted to, and he did it to the other side. Of course. This is why when you are cutting a childâs hair the parent needs to be consulted. I am not here to bash this establishment but I do think that not allowing parents beyond the entry is not a reasonable policy when dealing with young kids. My husband has brought my oldest son there before and he said that he was allowed to stay beside him. So I have no idea if this is a new policy but I think it needs to be thought out more. At the very least you need to have a consult prior to taking the child back! My husband said this was the worst hair cut my son has ever had and he is probably right. I would go back but not to that stylist and I would not let him be taken back without an in-depth discussion about...

What I did not expect was for one of the barbers to film my minor son during his haircut and stream it live on Instagram without my consent. That is completely unacceptable, highly unprofessional, and a serious violation of our privacy. Even after I voiced my frustration, there was no apology or offer to delete the footage. I had to personally ensure it was removed. That alone is reason enough not to return.
I also called ahead specifically to confirm that someone experienced with African American hair would be available. I was told yes. Yet when we arrived, it took 75 minutes to cut one sonâs hair and 90 minutes for the otherâboth very simple, straightforward cuts that typically take no more than 20 minutes. The fades lacked proper blending, and the line-ups were not good and if not for me intervening my sons hairline would have been pushed back too far. They offered to use a razor but didnât appear confident, so we declined.
Had the staff been upfront about their limited experience with our hair type, I might have still supported the businessâbut with adjusted expectations. Misleading customers to secure business is not only unprofessionalâitâs dishonest.
To be fair, the staff were polite, and I respect that everyone is on a learning curve. But customers have a right to expect professionalism, transparency, and skillâespecially when working...
Read moreI wouldnât say this is a typical review because my husband wasnât treated fairly when he walked in for a simple beard trim. My husband is a Hispanic English speaker with a strong accent and when he went in, the first thing the woman at the front asked him was whether or not he had an appointment. This was roughly 1:30 in the afternoon. When he said he didnât have an appointment, she then told him he would have to wait until 5pm for any type of service. My husband left and went to search for another place to get his beard trimmed and while he was looking I made a call to the barbershop and asked how long was the wait would be. Why would someone with no accent to note be told the wait would only be until 3pm when I inquired about the same service?? This seems very discriminatory. We live very close by and would have liked to give Floydâs our business but that wonât be happening any time soon due to the treatment my dear husband received...
