Less than 1 star if I could. TLDR; Do your research and avoid this location, because the owner is a lying, gaslighting crook who just proves that honest people in these industries don't exist anymore. He's out to make a quick buck and if you want to support a small business, this franchise isn't the "small business" to support. Explanation below, because the owners clearly not going to take accountability for his part in this. Future customers; my review may not change your mind, but it can at least prepare you!
Go anywhere else to get your tint done. Any other tint world, any other local shop. Go somewhere else. See one of the reviews below. The owner/front desk manager, whoever is in charge of this shop and handling customers, should seriously consider reevaluating how he handles situations when they come up.
We had our front and back windows tinted on February 2 or 3, 2024. We spent just over $400 dollars to do so. We thought the experience was fine at the time, and the person who helped us out was a salesman through and through. That's not a good thing these days, and he proved that today.
We explained the day we went in, that we weren't aware of the specific tinting laws within Texas as we moved here less than 2 years ago. We spent probably an hour talking to this guy about what would be best and that we wanted him to put on the darkest tint legally acceptable. I mean until we were blue in the face we made it so abundantly clear that we would need and appreciate his "knowledge" and "expertise" on this and to make sure what we were putting on was legal and that it would cause no issues with any cops in the future. He said he understood, that he would make sure he did just that.
Fast forward to needing to renew our registration and we fail the inspection because the tint is not legal and is too dark. What a weird sentence to hear from the automotive shop worker when just 3 months ago, we spent an entire day working with a crook who said he was going to get us worked out and right and make sure it's exactly what we asked for.
We start heading up to the location, and my partner calls to give a heads up and just talk to the guy and see what happened, because clearly a mistake has been made on Tint World's end. He immediately deflected any blame onto us, and tried to gaslight my boyfriend into believing he was crazy for calling and that this is all our fault. This is immediately a red flag and an insane position to take as an owner and customer representative. To further prove that this guy who answered the phone is delusional and someone you probably don't want to work on your vehicle, when there was confusion about what or who could be at fault, it was mentioned that we were headed up there and would be there in about 20 minutes. Their response wasn't "Okay great we'll see you then, maybe we can figure out what happened." The owner immediately jumped to the conclusion that we were "threatening him" which is crazy and shows that the second he heard something was wrong, his mind was made up about everything. He wasn't willing to hear a customer out, he wasn't willing to have any accountability towards this mistake, he was simply too good to be blamed for anything.
We decided to turn around because ANY grown man that automatically believes someone showing up to his shop for more information and answers is threatening him, is a grown man who's entire purpose in life is to be the victim and bring more problems. He probably would have continued with the childish antics and attitude he displayed over the phone and it would have escalated into something only he would've enjoyed and only something that would feed his ego. We just wanted answers, we just wanted a mistake they made...
Read moreI originally took my 2019 BMW 330i to Tint World to get my windows tinted. Jason was so helpful with helping me choose the right tint that abides by Texas and Florida laws. They worked efficiently and I got my car back in a matter of days, beautifully tinted. I was super impressed with how stunning she looked. Jason and I started talking, and we discussed the fact that I would be driving to and from Florida frequently. As you know, Texas and Floridian heat are no joke. There is no covered parking where I will be in Florida, so paint fading was a big concern. Also, the 13 hour drive (mostly on highways), could cause some damage to my car. That’s when we got into the topic of ceramic coating and paint protection. Now, I’m not really knowledgeable about all of this stuff- but Jason explained it so effectively and on a level that made it easy for me to understand how these coats would benefit my car. Aside from the worries of the effects constant sunlight and rocks would have, Jason also pointed out to me that my car was developing swirl marks! Jason took the time to put my car under high beams to show me where the marks were. Without protection, the marks would only get worse and more abundant. After Jason explained ceramic coating and paint protection to my parents and I numerous times, we were in! This whole process took FOUR. DAYS.- pretty amazing considering they did 3 coats of ceramic coating on my whole car, and about half my hood, my mirrors and door handles of paint protection. Oh, did I mention they also removed the swirl marks for free? Now my paint will stay glossy and fresh. My car looks like it did when it when I bought it! The paint protection will ensure that no rocks, dirt or debris will damage my car no matter how far we drive. Once I picked my car up, Jason explained how I should maintain it, and gave me a bottle of ceramic coating wash. Four times a year my car will need to go to Tint World for an inspection to maintain my warranty. But the bright side? I can go to ANY Tint World, free of charge, for her “check-up”. I’m incredibly impressed with the work Tint World did, and I highly recommend taking your car here! Everyone at this location is obviously so passionate about their job, and they do everything they can to make you and your car happy. Don’t let the name trick you- Tint World does so much more...
Read moreThis place has done it again with offering great tinting service to my vehicle.
This location is still renovating after moving from the location at hwy6 and I-10, but it is coming along nicely, maybe be even better than previously. From what I see, they have got this sweet audio room and a transparent sliding door to the garage so you could see the work being done.
I have talked to the people here. They are all great people and truly care for you and makes you receive the quality service you deserve. And quick too!
Shout out to Jason the store manager and Phillip who serviced my Hyundai!
And they are willing to explain all the packages and services they have to offer. Plus, the tinting is life warranty if you get the best ones. They do ceramics and even the front windshield as well. Also, they can do darker tints in the front but you got to sign a waiver form so they won't be held accountable. I suggest taking pictures before and after the service so you can see the differences and in case in the future you want to make sure the film cures correctly. And to see such the difference!
So overall I am happy with the services provided and done to my car and it looks great!
They will explain to you what to do after the tinting is done, which is something like this: Remember to not roll down the windows for at least 3 to 5 days, and don't clean the windows for a week. The whole tinting curing can take up to a month to completely dry and give that clean look. Minor bubbles, streaks, etc should be gone by then. This is just like putting a screen protector film over you phone, except it isn't a phone...and it's a car...and it...
