I have had 3 piercings done by Matt now. My tragus about 5 years ago and recently my septum and daith! I have always had a great experience with 51/50. The shop is so clean, sterilization and cleanliness are a top priority. Matt walks you through everything he’s doing during the process, which is extremely helpful and calming. My tragus healed up wonderfully after he did it and I have no doubt my two new piercings will as well!

This time I had an issue with my daith piercing immediately after it was pierced. It bled a bit when it was pierced and I was having issues hearing out of my ear afterward. Matt took the time to check out my ear and to clean it to make sure everything was okay. He was also vigilant about checking up on me over the next few days to see how my ear was. It turned out to be an issue with the blood getting into my ear wax (something very uncommon with this piercing and nothing he did wrong at all). All is well with my ear at this point and the piercing looks great! I just really appreciated him taking the extra time to check everything out while I was still in the shop and to take the time to check in on me via text to make sure everything was okay!

Matthew's procedures are clinical. All sterilization is done in front of you, so you can rest assured that the utmost care is being taken in ensuring that your piercing is done correctly, and safely. He will walk you through the whole process in a way that will quiet any nerves of something that can be a little scary.

The studio has a great selection of jewelry, and is of the highest quality. If you don't see exactly what you are looking for Matthew will give you options to get the piece you are after. He even custom-makes some jewelry in-house. Every piece of jewelry on my body comes from 51/50.

​We had such a fantastic experience getting piercings here for my daughter’s 14th birthday. My daughter got her septum and eyebrow done, and her grandma got a nose ring. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such warmth and kindness at the front desk. The receptionist was patient as we picked out our jewelry, and she was incredibly sweet with my 2-year-old, even playing with him to keep him happy. ​Our piercer, Matt, was absolutely wonderful. He was so professional and informative, explaining every step of the process. He made sure my daughter felt comfortable and confident. He even noticed my 9-year-old son was interested and was thoughtful enough to give him some "clip-on" hoops to try. The entire facility was clean and welcoming.
