When visiting the gun section of the store my boyfriend and I received exceptional service from two young associates and gained some insight into their selections and what would suit me best due to my small frame. We got near the end of our choice making and decided on a gun that suited me. Because I was buying the gun I needed a state issued item stating my legal address (being new to the process I did not know this) the associate continued to be helpful but during our communicating an older, third gentleman came over. When the gentleman helping me was advising me on how to acquire a form of proof of where I live from the state (since I have a PO box on my state issued ID) the man seemed nasty to just shove us out of the store and told his associate to just let us leave (under his breath but still very obviously) and waved us off. The man was completely rude as though my being 23 or female or who knows what meant my business was not important. It was offensive and quite irritating and it was all I could do to hold my tongue and not confront him about his behavior. Unlike this man, I am not that rude. I was highly offended by this and as a result of it will probably not be giving my business to any Dick's sporting goods for a while. I feel bad for the two younger men who helped us and went through probably a half hour of rigamorole just for us to walk out, faces red with anger. I may have come back within 15 minutes seeing as the DMV was in the same complex as the store, but the attitude of the man who was not even helping us turned...
Read moreI visited this store on Saturday and spoke with a sales person about the sale they were having on their Kayaks. We talked for about 10 minutes about the kayaks and the sale. I left the store on Saturday as I didn't have the car with a rack with me. When I returned on Sunday with the car with a roof rack (the following day) I was told the sale was over....It would have been great for the sales person to mention that the sale ended on Saturday as I would have paid for it then. I mentioned that their internet price was still showing the sale price and their response was well that is because it's the internet and the reason it was on sale was because you have to pay $150 or so for shipping. What a crock. These stores wonder why people go online these days to the store that starts with an A. I can get a kayak there for less than the price at the store and shipped in a couple of days for free (I'm sure this store that starts with an A isn't taking a loss) They were totally unwilling to give the the sales price which was only $50 less than the original price on a $550 kayak. Sure I had the $ to pay the original price but after the attitude of the sales person about the internet price and the fact that I wasn't informed the sale ended on Saturday I chose to leave the Kayak sitting in the store. The last I checked $0 is much less than $500 and they still would have made plenty of $ on the kayak I'm sure. Back to giving my money to the online...

One section of clubs for Women, 6 or more for men! Hmmmm. Wonder why I bother walking in the door. One can hope for...
