The Kenmore Senior Center is a small branch of the popular Northshore Senior Center. It's less than a mile from my house, but I just found out about it, and I'm really glad I did. It's a cozy, homey place tucked away in Kenmore's Rhododendron Park with classes like art (driftwood sculpture!) and sewing; free drop-in bridge, pinochle, Scrabble, and board games; free coffee; Wifi; and more. The warm, friendly director Pasha signed me up (included with Northshore membership of $48/yr.) and told this lonely new retiree what I most wanted to hear: "We're here, so you don't have...
