I’m a regular customer here and never had any issues with this restaurant, always take friends and family coming out of town here. But today I was especially annoyed with the manager.
I came in this afternoon by myself to enjoy some lunch outside. Even chatted with one of the waiters I usually see working. The waitress and waiters are always so kind and friendly. However I asked for another drink because the one I received didn’t taste right nor did I expect it to taste like that (based on the ingredients I saw on the menu) Plus it was another waitress that put in the order for the drink , because the guy who brought my food over didn’t speak English well, when I originally requested another drink and went to get his coworker. Which is completely fine. The drink had a cucumber or coconut flavor to it which I didn’t like.
I always pay for everything and anything I receive at this establishment, so I saw nothing wrong with asking for an exchange as I barely even took a sip before I realized something was wrong, or simply bringing me a new drink as I am a paying customer, and will buy anything I didn’t finish regardless.
The manager came over to ask what was wrong with the drink, I told him in a friendly manner, and asked for the same drink I had earlier instead. Mind you it’s a Monday, it wasn’t busy what’s so ever. He said he would get me the other drink, and when he returned, I really disliked how he tried to lecture me like I’m some little girl… I am a grown woman and a paying customer. If I want a new drink, I shouldn’t have to explain any more details outside of what I already said. I told him money was not an issue, and I simply just wanted to try something different, when I didn’t like it, I asked for the same drink again… what’s the big deal?
He said it’s because they don’t want to waste drinks and told me next time to just get the same thing or know what I want… I found that extremely rude. You don’t tell a customer what they should or shouldn’t get, i completely understand wasting drinks… but don’t you think if I didn’t like the drink to begin with, it was going to sit on the table, wasting away???
I even reminded him, that he knows I come in here with family and friends, so usually if I don’t like or finish something, they would help me out. But this time it’s just me and it was only one drink exchange that I requested…(I don’t drink often but trying something new here & there isn’t a crime ya know)
My advice, don’t approach customers and lecture them like they’re some child of yours. I’m grown and I can order another drink if I feel like it. I always tip and show a lot of appreciation for the staff. Just didn’t like the manager attitude at all, felt passive aggressive. Told my husband to pick me up before my mood was ruined...
Read moreI dined here on Friday July 25th, for the first time with my friend. It was a great experience until the general manager ruined it & lost a potential returning customer.
Our waitress was lovely & good at her job. We ordered a large queso, I had a margarita & my friend had 2 beers. We both ordered fajitas. All of the food & drinks were very good in fact the entire experience was so amazing that I was going to recommend this place to my family & friends up until after we paid the bill. We spent $100+ & tipped 20% & I would say we were a good table, had no complaints during dinner. We ordered, we ate, we paid. After closing out, we were sitting in our booth while I was finishing my margarita which was maybe 1/3-half full. The general manager approaches our table & says “If you already paid you need to get up and leave now you can’t sit here anymore.” Me & my friend looked at him so confused & he continued to pester us “you need to leave now.” Mind you, there plenty of other tables seated, eating & there’s also plenty of free tables. This caught me so off guard because never ONCE in my life have I been told to leave a restaurant shortly after closing the bill. I also happen to work in a fine dining restaurant & would NEVER treat a guest that way in my restaurant. I was so annoyed I didn’t finish my $15 margarita & we got up & left w a bad taste in our mouths. To think I was gonna go home & recommend this to my family & friends & also pay another visit, just for the general manager to completely ruin the experience & make me not want to come back ever. What kind of business are you running ?? Why would you scare away potential returning customers. Absolutely rude &...
Read moreTo start, the inside is nice and was a pretty good atmosphere. The food was good and my fiancé really loved the chimichanga. I don’t always write reviews, but as a server I feel like something needs spoken of. Our service started out good, but ended very poorly. Our drinks got empty halfway through our meal and never got refilled, which we can deal with. However, our server didn’t come back to our table at all after our food was served, not even for the check. This was really frustrating because we had to go the front and had a fussy baby. We were standing trying to calm him and she still never came to our table with our check. As I’ve been in service, I understand getting busy. But there were only a few more tables. The most frustrating part was that everyone was standing at the bar talking (the workers). Our server was mingling with coworkers and made eye contact several times but still never came to our table. The manager (I think) was kind and ended up helping us cash out in the end. A little tip would be for EVERYONE to help out with EVERYONES tables. At my restaurant, we always say “it’s for the betterment of the company”. Even if it’s not your table, and you aren’t getting paid for someone else’s job. But using teamwork to give everyone the best experience that comes in is what gets people to return and leave positive reviews. I’d also recommend employees talking in the back or somewhere else that’s not for all customers to see, in case they need something and so they don’t just see everyone having...
