I have learned in my life to stop arguing with people, especially when it comes to my food. What I have experienced today was just the sign of the times. I have been to this location before and they were clean, but this time tonight, I came in to get me a gyro wrap and fries and experienced what I interpreted as disrespect. The man at the cash register had on gloves. Before he walked to the register, he was working on something else with the gloves on he came with to take my order at the register with those same gloves. After when he took my order, he turned around and went to wiped under the grill table where they cook the meat with the same gloves he had on when he was at the cash register. He opened the door where the meat is at, with the same gloves, and he placed the meat on the grill with the same gloves.
After that, he grabbed my fries with the same gloves, and he picked up a towel and started wiping the cutting board, with the same gloves. I used to work in food for over ten years. We changed gloves regularly. If I'm using the register with gloves which you shouldn't, but if you are, change the gloves, wash your hands and put on new ones. "Well how do you know he didn't just change his gloves before you got there?" He was touching the register with the gloves he had on to prepare my food. I watched and when he came back to the register to take someone else order, I politely said I would like to cancel my order. He did it without hesitation. So, why did I interpret as disrespect? Because after I asked for my money back, that's when he changed his gloves, so he knew he was nasty and didn't think I would say anything. That's how you treat dogs.
You wonder why some of you get sick, or worse by having to go to the ER. That's because of the carelessness of people when it comes to how they treat your food. I have worked in food and stopped plates from going out because I didn't know who was out there and I didn't know if it was someone I loved out there. I wasn't going to make a scene or make his job harder by having him to do his job, I just wanted my money back and left.
Some of you would have said something to him because you paid for the food and that's understandable but what you don't realize is that he will change gloves if you ask him, but what about the products that's prepared already to make your food? Did you see him change your gloves preparing the meats and veggies?
If you see something like this everyone, just leave. Don't pull out your phone and record. Don't even explain why, just ask for your money...
Read moreWow! I’m so glad I didn’t pay attention to the bad reviews that popped up on top. We were in the area taking a break from furniture shopping and Mediterranean food sounded like the perfect comfort food idea.
I AM BLOWN AWAY. A party of 10 came in at the same time before we did, and people came in after us, and we still got our food, freshly made, quickly.
The food is a 5/5. The best Mediterranean street food we’ve had in a long time in this area.
We ordered the falafel pita with Greek fries, tomato soup and salad with a trio of classic, cilantro, and sriracha hummus. Every single bite of every single thing was amazing. My 7.5 month old daughter devoured the hummus!
My husband asked me “which is your favorite, then I’ll try.” I didn’t say a word and he impatiently tried it and said..... “I love them all equally for different reasons!”.
Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, not too salty or underdone. The falafel were not dry. The environment was nice and relaxed, everything appeared clean and neat. They also do children eat free on Wednesday’s between 4-9pm. We’re definitely coming back with our whole family. Our other children would love the food too!
They even have a gluten free pita!!!!
Awesome for families, children, groups, gluten free dining, vegan/vegetarians, etc. So So So good!
I won’t be able to go to our normal Greek spot anymore. Pita Mediterranean in Kennesaw won my...
Read moreSo, this has been my third visit to the pita street food restaurant at the barrett location. The food, is indeed amazing. We always get the kids menu, tawaf kabobs, salads, baklava and gyro! Always amazing & delicious! The servings are great! The place, is great too. A lot of space, but a bit echoey so we need to be extra quiet with kids! However, I've noticed in all our 3 visits. We either didnot, get the fries with our order or kids drinks and desserts were not given and we had to ask for them every time. Or they'll charge extra for the drinks that were already included in the deal. One time mistake, may have been accidental but, it happened in all the three visits! Infact, in today's visit I had to ask them for the kids drinks and dessert but, I didnot tell them they charged me for extra drinks when they supposed to a part of the deal, as it is embarrassing to make an issue over $2 drinks! However, They should be doing it right already! It makes you feel like you're being cheated! I don't think, anyone from management was present otherwise, I would informed them personally and not reviewing them. I hope they have a talk with their staff to...
