It’s disappointing to see a business using this number while engaging in questionable practices.

While it’s common for Afghan shops to have slightly higher prices, I recently had a deeply concerning experience. I purchased Kofta meat for around $43, only to find that the meat underneath was spoiled and covered with a layer of fresh meat to conceal it. This is not only unethical but a serious health risk. Spoiled meat should be disposed of, not sold.

My husband and I frequently shop here. We're non-Afghans and not Muslims. We've always been treated fairly and kindly at this store. The products are excellent, I often recommend this store to others for their selection of affordable and quality cooking spices and other international cooking ingredients--a good place to find things like rosewater, vanilla powder, saffron, and other great spices--with better quality and freshness than the big box stores, and much better prices than the big specialty grocers. Wow! Think twice before going to this store!! The items does NOT have a price tag, they price what they want. The items are priced way above market. The little guy (owner) is very RUDE! He doesn’t know how to talk to people. We regret spending time to shop from them. I am glad I did not buy anything because I found better deals and better goods.
