Update 2 years later:
We flew back to Seattle just to come here again. We were worried it might’ve changed or got worse, but it is still JUST as amazing as we remembered it, and Paul is just as friendly as he always is. Get the oxtail pho, you won’t regret it!
Original:
My girlfriend and I came here right after flying from NYC to SEA and had this as our very first meal. We were amazed by it and thought, wow, maybe this is what all Seattle pho is like. Or maybe it was because we had just landed from a long flight and we were hungry. But no, this one is special.
Over the course of a week, our mission was to find the best pho in Seattle. We tried 5 popular pho places around the Seattle area, and after each one, we kept craving and thinking back to the pho at Pho Saigon Garden. We knew we had to go one last time before our Seattle trip came to an end - to confirm if it was truly the best pho in Seattle.
We arrived back to Pho Saigon Garden a week later to have it as our last meal before our flight back home. As soon as we walked in, the owner, Paul, remembered us, and we told him all about our trip. After we had the first sip of the broth, we instantly knew this pho topped them all. Paul’s pho does everything right: the soup, the noodles, the meat, the tripe, the tendon. The soup is super clean and clear - not too salty or sweet, and also rich with flavor while also being light. The broth was piping hot, making the noodles a perfect consistency. The meat was super tender and flavorful (and plus there was ample meat). The tripe was crunchy and not chewy.
Aside from the mouth-watering pho, Paul was very sweet, genuine, and happy. Although we are strangers and we’ve only seen him twice, we left Pho Saigon Garden feeling like we found amazing pho, but also more importantly, a new friend. We recommend this family-owned restaurant to everyone looking for the best pho in the Seattle area! While we are nervous to eat pho back home in NYC, we look forward to the next time we go to Seattle and eat Paul’s pho again.
Thanks again...
Read moreIt took me a bit of time to decide to write this review but I feel I must.
Ive been going here for nearly 7 years. I love the food (obviously) I know everyone who works here.
but for the longest time I felt like I Was being overcharged, but never investigated it and questioned it fully, simply because I was always hungry and just wanted to eat.
Anyways, I called out them last night and pretty much my suspicions were right.
I order Large chicken pho, and # 31 (chicken chow mein)
the menu, chicken pho is 7.5 (i asked him how much it is, he said it was 9.35) I look at him, blank stare.. really? says "new menu next month" (I have no problem paying the prices of the food, even if marked wrong, but why is it wrong to begin with? especially nearly a $2 difference!) ( this was not the deal breaker)
he said the chow mein was 9$ as listed
Lets do the math
9.35+9 = 18.35 +.70 for take out (.35 per dish)
19.05 +.50 for debit transactions
19.55 10% tax
21.5
he charged me 22.68
says he charged me for one that was 50 cents more
even so, thats only 50 cents, with still .68 cents being over charged (deal breaker, because he has no reason for the extra money being charged!)
How do you charge someone the wrong price for something IVe been ordering for literally 6 years +? I literally make this order every, single, TIME, along with something for my wife. We know eachother well, he knows my family.
Maybe this is why their receipts don't show the prices of what theyre charging you!
Don't trust this place, they are likely over charging you, and will play stupid when questioned, as he did with me last night.
Check out below, it seems that someone else too has been overcharged.
Shame!!!
I will...
Read moreMy friends and I stopped by for a quick meal before heading to the airport in the morning, and we were warmly greeted by the owner, Paul. We were one of the first customers, so Paul paid extra attention to serving us and checking in on our table consistently. I ordered the Pho Tai and shared a Grilled Pork Banh Mi, and both were so delicious! The pho broth was rich in flavor yet not greasy at all and just so so comforting. It paired perfectly with the toasted banh mi. After finishing our meal, we ordered the Vietnamese coffee, which was creamy and just the right amount of sweet. We got to chat with the owner and learn how this family-owned restaurant has been around for several years. You can tell that he genuinely cares for his customers and wants to provide the best service possible. It’s hard to come across a restaurant, especially one that’s this big, where the owner will take the extra time and care to personally greet you and make sure you’re enjoying your food. It’s no wonder the food is so good when you know how much effort and love is poured into it. Needless to say, my friends and I were beyond satisfied with our meal and time at Pho Saigon Garden and would come back here in a heartbeat when in Washington again. Thank you for the exceptional service and...
