Well I am pretty sure that most people out there heard about the Kerrville Flood and how devastating it was and still is. This is the place where I took my daughter, Heather, when she was young to play on the playground and we would have lunch. It is a small, shady, quiet park with the beautiful view of the river. Now it means something totally different. At this point in time when you think about what happened and then look at the playground there are mixed feelings and emotions. You arrive with sadness then it becomes heartfelt with all the crosses displayed for the deceased. I made a cross that was one of a kind to put there for me and Heather it is made from bamboo. I painted it and put glow in the dark stars on it so you can c it at night. BUT I went to go see it shine at night and it looked like an ordinary cross with stars, it wasn't glowing. I didn't think about all the street lights they have there, duh. So I looked around to c if there was a good dark spot but nope. It would have to be up by the road. So I thought of some other place down the river but it took was not as dark as it has to be for the stars to shine. I will find a spot. This park is a very special place and it will stay that...

You can donate to the local Goodwill relief which is setting up a relief spot for donations in the parking lot seperate from the stores items. Clothes, linens, shoes and the hygiene products are accepted and will later be setup and given out to those affected at no charge of course.
