The managers and many of the staff here are great and helpful but there are a few bad apples. Most recently, I had a very bad experience at this store. I needed to buy a saw blade for my circular saw. However, the blade I needed was locked up. The woman who came to unlock the blade for me was very offensive. She was unencumbered by facts and instead relied on propaganda to form her beliefs. First, she told me that they had to lock things up because the current administration didn't respect law and order. I have a feeling she was talking about politics on a national level and not state because she then said that kind of thing doesn't happen in Texas. I pointed out that we were in the state of Texas as I gestured to the items locked up. Then she told me they had to lock them up because so many people were coming across the border and stealing stuff. I told her she was being racist, and she replied maybe so. I naturally walked off and made a complaint because racism and xenophobia should never be tolerated. I lived abroad in Asia for 16 years, so I understand what it is like to live in a foreign country and to sometimes face prejudice and racism. Racism when it is directed towards you feels terrible. I think if we really are going to have a "great" country, as a society we need to have a zero-tolerance policy towards this kind of attitude, and it is up to corporations to do their part. I understand retail theft is an issue, especially organized retail theft. It is good that stores are starting to crack down on that, but it is very inappropriate for an employee to state such awful views to a customer. Overall, crime in the US has decreased since 2020. Additionally, Kerr County's crime rate dropped 8 percent this year. About the second point, if you look at the statistics, immigrants either legal or undocumented commit fewer crimes than US citizens in Texas. Undocumented immigrants commit the fewest. Either way, this employee's comments were inappropriate, and I hope the management takes this offense seriously. Until then, I guess I'll be...
Read moreIf I could give this store a zero I would. We have done a lot of business with Kerrville Home Depot. In September we purchased $5000 worth of washing machine and dryer. As of November 21,2020, we still do not have our products. I have made arrangements to have either myself or someone else here at the house on the designated delivery dates....no shows! No phone calls...oh, the delivery men claimed they call but the phone was never unattended, and there was no such Caller ID number on the phones. This last attempt, a Ruby Alvardo, called and said he would be at my house in 20-30 minutes. After two hours I called him back, 4 times, and he never answered or called me back. According to one of the managers, Mr. Alvardo, claimed he had called and no one was home. After many calls to Kerrville Home Depot, I spoke to Dwight and Aaron, managers, on two different phone calls. Very polite young men and promised to look into this and would get back with me in the morning....Morning came and nothing. So, I got in the car and drove into town and confronted Aaron, because Dwight had passed me off to Aaron. Aaron could not remember even talking to me or what the situation was!!! I refreshed his memory and after he made several excuses, I made his life more simple and cancelled my order...One less problem for his small brain today! I then drove to Lowes, bought the same washer and dryer and had the option of taking it with me or having it delivered. Not only that, but it will be delivered within 7 days...and the best part was that it was $600.00 less than Home Depot. My family and I will no longer be doing busy with...
Read moreWow. I ordered a couple of desks “Curbside” just to give it a try. I thought I would have help on the pickup, so I went alone.
I checked in first by giving Curbside a call to confirm. They told me my items were in— and to go to the Contractor’s canopy to pick up.
When I arrived, I checked in again at Curbside parking and again they asked me to park under canopy- asking me what vehicle I was driving.
30 min later I called curbside on the phone. They said, “Oh, sorry! We thought your order was up front and ready, but it is way in the back. It is on its way.
Another 10 minutes later one guy comes rolling out with a flat cart to my truck. I have my ID in-hand as they asked me to. He insists on seeing my order— which would not pull up under the canopy because my phone would not connect under there. After I resolved that, the guy tried to lift the heavy boxes but was not able. I jumped to help him lift one edge to the lip of my tailgate and he stood back and watched me try to shove it myself. Then we did it again. Goof-ball let me load it again. Really HD? So much for curbside “Service”! Not convenient and not much service.
I did notice many happy customers coming and going in my almost an hour sitting by the canopy. I recommend this Home...
