I am only giving it a 3 because typically I have no issues with this TJ Maxx. I live right beside Town & Country and I frequent this location at least 3 days a week. I had an incident the other day while in there shopping with my granddaughter. I had purchased something out at the TJ Maxx/Home Goods location at Austin Landing and I needed to return the item. The cashier explained that unfortunately it could not be returned there because it was from Home Goods. In conversation I said I was surprised since the TJ Maxx and Home Goods was all the same store at Austin Landing location but before I could finish my sentence she cut me off and said very rudely, " I don't make the rules". Now I was a Retail Manager most of my life and I get it is hard to deal with some customers and it can be taxing at times but I was simply having a conversation. Not being rude at all. I understand "she doesn't make the rules". It was unprofessional and quite honestly immature. I hope that it is brought to her attention. Maybe customer service is not a good position for her. I wish I had caught her name. I did ask another cashier because like always I purchased other things and she stated it was Burshula or something of that nature. I didn't ask her again because I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable. I was in there on Saturday evening (5/22) between 7-8pm and I believe she was on register #4. She was also wearing a black head scarf. My granddaughter, who is 8, was upset and said that the girl was very mean to me. For her to notice is...
Read moreI didn't have an issue until trying to check out. The store is clean and tidy but lacks some in my taste of style. But I did find some items I could enjoy though. The cashier whom helped me tried getting me to get a credit card offering a measly 10% off. Sadly that's a tactic many fall for but I have enough credit cards with much better perks so I politely declined. Then she tried again and again and again. Many times I politely declined. Then she tried telling me to get the card for my 10% off and cancel the card the next day. Unfortunately I feel that's her first mistake pushing a card on me multiple times then telling me to cancel as if my credit isn't important, knowing that stunt would negatively affect my credit I again declined and even stated I didn'tneed a TJ Maxx card and didn't want to affect my credit by trying to cheat the system. She then had a bad attitude with me even her body language changed after praying for my items i said thank you have a nice day she flipped my receipt with attitude at me and said "yep". I don't know why she would offer me something then give me an attitude but I wont be returning to any TJ Maxx again if you dont open a cc you're forced to stand there being strong armed and left feeling oddly when you simply decline...
Read moreIf I could give this experience a zero star rating I would. I was followed around the store from section to section by an older white woman working this location for the length of my hour shopping along with two other people. After expressing concern to me about the keeping their products sanitary when I spoke to someone I came with regarding a missing pan and sanitary paper within the pallet, she had brought it upon herself to assume that we were stealing. She then followed us from the makeup to the cookware and then the candles and the pet supplies. Every time we would enter an aisle she would either be circle around it or come in or with us to organize items. According to those I came with she disappeared often when I was not around me when I was alone she would almost always make certain she Was in the same aisle as me. Those I came with as well as myself spoke briefly with other associates about how uncomfortable the entire ordeal was and hope not only is she inspected for her actions but the she doesn’t do this again and create a horrible and uncomfortable shopping expirence for...
